By creating a checklist of things he forgot about and just using this final part of the story to check them off without any kind of explanation, or build up to the moments while quickly glossing over them and abandoning them to get to the next bulletin point on the list because they're poorly...

I mean 1 year worth of chapters of the DK jobbing and the boring intermissions between his fights kinda earns that reaction don't you think?

I don't like the chapter. Only because it just makes the fight longer. Now we have to have: A whole chapter of Zeldris spanking the DK. A whole chapter of The One spanking the DK. A whole chapter of Diane spanking the DK. A whole chapter of Meliodas finally trying for the first time...

Except Nakaba is the one writing this, so it is much more likely Zeldris will just awaken to his inner demon lord power and oneshot his dad then something sensible happening. We saw it with Meliodas, King, Escanor, Merlin, Elizabeth, etc. It’s not changing here.
