To me, it seems more like All For One wanted to take Bakugou because Shigaraki had plans for him, not necessarily because All For One himself does. And isn't Shigaraki the more likely candidate to succeed the All For One quirk?

I think All Might will try to keep Bakugou from getting involved in the fight but escape doesn't seem very likely; also Bakugou will probably want to help All Might. Not sure about the other kids, but they obviously can't stay in hiding forever.
