No offense but How could anyone deny that he isn't worthy emperor title. As you said the person whom other emperors won't dare to challenge is worthy emperor title. But if they don't fight Luffy how will they know his power or what he is worth of as Luffy doesn't challenge anyone unless anyone...

It is obvious that Luffy and his crew would need to power up as they will be against two emperors at the same time. Is there gonna be a time gap or any other way to power up? And who could be Luffy's next teacher?
I don't think think shanks could have let Ace die because he is so important person to Luffy. There were high chances that Luffy will loose his spirit to be a Pirate king.
