It's a gaffe from the mangaka. Most of the flashbacks to Agon and Unsui before the start of the anime show Agon with shortish, bleached hair, and in the early anime he's got short dreads. Granted, the fact his dreads are down to mid-back now means his hair must grow freakish fast, but still...

Shinryuuji relies on genius? Funny that... I thought Agon didn't even play in most games, before the game vs. Deimon Ikkyuu says it's been a year since Agon went on the field, so how can they rely on him? And Ikkyuu's a great reciever, but he's not good enough to win games all by himself.
