To be fair it does have some renningan traits, so it kinda does fit in, but I don't think that sharingan is a derivitive of byukugan rather they are both mutated version of the eyes that first son of rikudo has(renningan + sharingan from jyubi), byakugan obviously having the weaker subset of powers.
