I don't have a tv license, let alone Spike TV where Afro Samurai is currently (?) aired. But somehow, fate has lead me to find the animation fallen into my leeching box. :blink 'Nuff useless intro! One particular voice actor is the reason why I find this american/japan-english-voiced animation...

I never get the chance to hear Shishio in english. It must've been a pain to hear the character is ruined. How bout Ichigo's english dubber? Have you watched the english version? How's he?

you're perfectly right. I remembered the first time I watched english-dubbed Kenshin. Kaori's voice was horrifyingly off the character. I don't watch english-dubbed version though. They only broadcasted in cable, which I never subscribe.

A~h! a delightful relief to know that. One of the things I find irritating in watching anime is having to know the VA does not match with the character. (It happens seldomly, by the way)

Ehm... sometimes it may occur that I'm a bit inept in articulation. I may made a terrible generalization about the fillers. On the other hand, I literally stopped watching the anime, a couple episodes after the bount(o) arc started (You can say, I'm a slightly purist when it comes to Bleach)...

They're already suck for the fillers. So they cannot make more mistakes on choosing the VA.

Yup, I couldn't disagree about that. Loz can fit into Grimmjaw perfectly (I still think he has to get rid off the nasal voice, though). Come to think of it, my image of Grimjow changes a couple of times. When he got worked up on killing Ichigo, I imagined he has the fast voice of Hiruma...

I've listen to Loz closely and over and over. He'd fit in to the character, just as you said. But, I hear a bit nasal voice coming from the character. That made the voice a bit off from the image of Grimmjaw. I haven't listen to the VA's other roles, thus I cannot tell whether it was on purpose...

:blink She's most likely Rude. Rude likes to fool everybody by making them think that he's a she. I'd better be careful not to be fooled easily. ps. I'm watching Advent children again, to listen closely how Loz sounds like. :darn

R u sure that your PE teacher is NOT Rude? There's a rumour that Rude entered real world before the movie was even made, and pretended to be a PE teacher. Try poke him a couple of times with a stylus, if he twitches his left nostril, then he's Rude. lol

Zoro's VA's voice is easy to recognise, though he voiced several other roles brilliantly. If he can make his voice heavier, I think he can pass as Grimmjaw. How bout Sanada (tenipuri) VA? He has a pretty much heavy voice. He's the VA for Rude, in advent children movie. (I haven't paid much...

Not that I don't like Suwabe Junichi. I imagined Grimmjaw's voice going to be a bit rough and slightly rude. Especially when he laughs, I'd imagine the laughter will be hideous. Something like Ryuuku's voice.

Greed was an amusing character. Nevertheless, Suwabe's voice changes from character to character. I personally think his voice is better when charactering a spoiled-laid back personality. So, I'm pretty impatient to find out how Grimmjaw will be.

I hope i still can catch the new year feasty spirit. Happy Hogmanay! No new year resolution for me, just yet.
