Everytime Luffy was KOd by Kaido he learned something important (ex aCO). Him getting awakening now makes a lot of sense. And seeing him smile as well does, as he believes more than ever that he can beat Kaido in an heartbeat and save everyone. Plus as the fight will happen on the livefloor it...

I do agree. Luffy comes back stronger when he is knocked down.
