Do you watch the anime? Or have ever seen any colored versions of Itachi's Mangekyo? It's red, and his Susanoo is in the anime.

I just noticed that Sasuke actually turned into those crows, you can see his body and the crows kinda meshing.

Tsukuyomi is the best explanation, considering we haven't seen Sasuke's yet, and he already used Amaterasu and Susanoo, but those failed against Danzo, and I'm pretty sure that Tsukuyomi is the only genjutsu that comes with the Mangekyo, and the eye bleeding could be explained by Sasuke's...

Sasuke used Tsukuyomi to make Itachi appear, as his right eye started bleeding; also the crows started forming around Sasuke first.
