i just think that too much credit for the 70% failure is given to the kraken with the limited knowledge that we know so far. i think that a kraken living around SA would be a big deal. and yes i misremembered the quote, it was franky not caribou.

you may "believe" that the kraken is the reason for the 70% failure rate, but you have no real basis for those claims. caribou says that the kraken has probably been there for a few days feeding on the pirates coming along. if a kraken was waiting in the path to FI most of the time the success...

Hachi seemed to be the one fishman of arlong's crew that took care of mohmoo the most, at least feeding him, so maybe hachi either brought mohmoo back with him or was followed by mohmoo to this part of the ocean and that's why he's in the area. he was from the grandline originally.

what about bonney? she was all upset over the whole execution and went after blackbeard afterwards. ace could've met her just like he met buggy's crew, just hopping on board out of nowhere and becoming friends. i think their personalities would've clicked.

if the new crew of the fake straw hats attack luffy and force him to use some of his powers won't they quickly realize that he's the real thing, since there can't be two people with rubber powers. i think the fake straw hats may just end up getting beat up by their new recruits.

another possibility for the message is that the burial at sea ceremony that they performed could be referring to the going merry's funeral and that they should meet in water 7 in 16 days. they just need some place relatively safe to regroup and as they are the mayor's saviors they'd get a warm...

i think there is a good chance that the newspaper is connected to rayleigh's plan to get the strawhat crew to reunite with luffy. rayleigh didn't want a repeat of earlier and there are still probably many powerful marines around SA after the war.

i would agree with all the moments already mentioned but there is also -the fact that gol d roger had an incurable disease and turned himself into the marines, that set off a whole new pirate age. -crocodile being the boss of BW, the strawhats just get into the grand line and are already going...

If Franky showed up then he could turn Ace into a cyborg just like he did to himself when he had his insides crushed by the seatrain. And maybe Franky's even learned a few new tricks while being in Vegapunk's homeland. He could just use some of the left over parts from the busted pasifistas...
