His powerlevel really arent that inconsistent. Base Natsu (which at this point i think is his FDKM beucase i cant realy distinguis them) didnt defeate Zeref. Base Natsu + power of the guild did. You may like this or not but it's something that has been part of the Fairy Tail since beggining...

So a full powerd igneel couldnt harm human acnologia alongside other dragons 400 years ago but a half dead igneel was able to rip his hand off while he was in a dragon form. So i am not sure that acnologia did indeed kill those dragons by himself. Thats why we need his backstory.

If Natsu really disappeared beucase Zeref is gone why did his body also disappeared. Natsu isnt made from ether he has a human body so naturally he shoould have just fell on the ground.

Dragon slayers were never ment to figth Acnologia the parents dragons were. That plan failed in Tartarus arc when the dragons stopped face. The kids were only used as hosts for dragons.
