Here you will be able to keep up with the Art Contest Schedule and check when your favorite category is coming up next and get ready for it. The schedule will be updated once we start the seasonal contests of each block: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

This is also were you'll be able to suggest themes for the upcoming contests! Your suggestion may earn you points for the Artist Leaderboard if it is used as one of the options on the poll to choose the final theme of the contest. We know you all have great ideas and we want to hear them!

Great idea, Charles! Thanks for making the thread.


I believe this is a good way to encourage those that aren't really interested in some of the more recent themes chosen for certain contests to let us know what would interest them. Moreover, this gives us the chance to understand what kind of themes members like a lot so we can work with it.

Everyone is most welcome to suggest ideas/themes for the art contests. If a theme you really liked in the past has been used and/or you missed out on participating that time, don't worry you can always ask in here about that said theme and we'll see if it's possible to re-use them at the appropiate times. If not we can always work around an old theme (if it becomes really popular and in demand) that's been used and recycle it so that we can cover more ground.

I've created a list in the opening post so we can keep record of the ideas/themes suggested over time! So keep them coming folks~!

I don't think we had a pirate theme in a while or if at all, which category do you suggest for it?

Maybe a meme themed art contest? There are ones where you draw the same topic with different styles/expression/etc. We can find some in Deviantart or even make one ourselves.
The medium used can depend on the contestant.

Ty for the suggestions, Infinite! Some of them are awesome o.o I love the Meme and OCs ones xD
Tomorrow we'll use a holiday theme, but after that, we can pick one of the suggestions here to use^^ Those two I mentioned above are very creative, and I believe that people would have a good time with it, as long as we don't make it too complicated. I'll ask others to come here and discuss them a bit with us, so we can decide the best one for everybody^^

Yon-koma is a great theme for a literature category, imo. Thanks for the awesome suggestion!

But the second part seems like really... challenging xD
We could bring that to the discussion thread and see what the others feel about it, though^^ If people agree it's not that hard and would take part, I'd support it!

A yonkoma is basically a 4 panel comic strip typically used in gag manga.

Haha maybe hold a separate contest for meme making and use the winner's meme for another contest. It may be hard to find meme suitable for everyone so might as well get the majority votes.
