Honestly, I wouldn't have even bothered with these rumors, but since Aniking and Shinuki were talking about it, I thought there was something to it. Where did they even get that info if it wasn’t in the magazine? I was fully expecting something in the latest issue since they sounded so confident. Guess it’s clear now—these weren’t 'leaks,' just straight-up speculation. I’m done believing any of this until I see an official announcement in the magazine or on Jump Press.

By the sounds of it they obviously can't reveal the source of the news as it's not going to be the typical announcement via the magazine, which is why people were keeping it as dropping hints rather than saying anything explicit, until the one particular leaker with his ego couldn't help but make himself the Main Character in his typical fashion and decided to say it in concrete terms as a big revelation. The fact that the same leakers who often released details spoilers and stills/clips from the TYBW anime episodes before they come out were all collectively acknowledging the rumour is what made it believable.

Honestly i am so confused how did the rumor even started to begin with. Some Shueisha insider leaked it verbally? Leakers coping? It came into them in the dream like Joseph the dreamer? It is confirmed in CFYOW?

Obviously the source of Bleach returning can't be revealed, but for the leakers it came from the "higher ups" which means the info is real.

So, turns out we got absolutely nothing on the Hell Arc from Kubo? It’s been over a week since the leaks dropped and everything’s dead silent. The post Kubo in X was just for that MV, so when are we actually supposed to get this announcement? Shinuki, Aniking or are we just coping at this point?

Issue #30 Notes:
Shinobi Undercover - This is probably the best color page Shinobi has ever done. I've been critical of the series and the excessive use of color pages and how they do not feel special. The color page for chapter 86 was truly amazing and felt special.
Someone Hertz - This was my absolute favorite chapter of the series. It was the best chapter so far imo and might be the one that changes my view on the series as a whole. We'll see if chapter 39 will continue to make me feel this way or if it falls back down my rankings.
Cannon Master - I like the way this duo reminds me of Reigen and Mob (from Mob Psycho 100). The dynamic works well and I really enjoyed the master having to make himself sound better than he is to his student. A really good first chapter in my opinion. It doesn't appear to be trying to reinvent the shonen wheel.
Kagurabachi - This was also one of the best chapters of the entire series. If you ask me the lore about the Datenseki was done perfectly. I hope when we get back to the current timeline the story continues to be as interesting as it has been in this flashback arc.

Hello everyone, I hope you've all been well. I just finished my exams so I can finally post again
in my absence alien headbutt perished RIP, Hima-Ten ended, kagurabachi has gone on break, we got three new series and HXH came back so i feel like i have a lot to catch up on. this post will ( hopefully) not be too long as i'm just getting back into things.

MONDAY REPORT

Ichi The Witch
Ichi has now become the best battle and sports manga in the magazine,truly incredible. Overall very solid chapter we get to calm down after the whole Fujimine ordeal while also giving us some juicy info for the future ,the mentor student contract comes back in a big way and this also somewhat explains why Fujimine is such a big problem for the mantinel witches. Dessacaras and Minakata's custody battle ping pong was very fun and has me wondering how long the magikeepers will be around for, hopefully a good while.

Cannon Master
I didn't get to talk about chapter one but I liked it well enough,the main dynamic is basically just Mob and Reigen but Reigen is not a complete fraud and I love Mob Psycho so I can dig it. The world gives me massive Breath of the Wild vibes (I mean the mc's power is basically a suped up ocarina) especially the monsters. As for chapter 2, I thought it was pretty good too. I like how the mentor is still remarkable in his own way and that he isn't super insecure and pissy about Urs strength,what a good guy. The art in this series is really good too. I'm excited to see how this one plays out.

Class 2-B Hero Destroyerz
The humor has definitely improved for me, it's a lot less toilet focused and is now getting into more character focused humor and that's working well for me, tbh though I actually liked the piss joke in this chapter.Since we've been in the demon realm I've become more endeared to the series so Im hoping this continues to impress.

Sakamoto Days
Oh, Sakamoto of Sakamoto Days going to die again, is Suzuki for realsies this time... I doubt it, its a fortune so there's gonna be some sort of goofy explanation where Uzuki becomes Sakamoto and that persona dies or something equally crazy. However if he does bite the bullet (hehe) would really matter , I mean Al Kamar is kaput ,apart from revived Gaku I guess , and the rest is just JAA mooks right, I'm definitely missing something but I feel like we should be good ? p.s. on Shins last fight, I liked the concept of the bad guy and the concert set piece but once again my investment just isn't there there are no stakes, Shin was always gonna win , nobody has really died at all ,and this guy was introduced like 2 pages ago so I don't care about him. Anyway Uzuki vs Sakamoto in a theme park its happening, were nearing the finale (sakamoto fought in a theme park way back in the beginning too, its like poetry it rhymes lol) .

Hal Formula
I never read green green greens but people were always talking up Terasaka;s writing and from the first chapter I got it , I'm really enjoying it so far and the big bro's death flags are starting to subside too. I'm not into F1 at all so I think it's impressive that this series is managing to keep me engaged without pulling some speedracer type craziness. We got our cool mysterious mentor and the mc has a his path laid out before him lets go.

Animal Signal
I've been really enjoying this one, very very cute, and I'm learning too. It's like school but for even more useless facts. This chapter was no different just seeing Kokone and Tsubasa getting close and completing missions, it really feels like a saturday morning cartoon to me y'know monster/anima of the week type thing. I see this one ,given its received well, going on for quite a while but I wonder if they might run out of unique animals by then.

Roku’s House of Oddities
I think this is my favourite thing in the magazine ,barring kagurabachi , its just so fun . Despite this I don't really have many thoughts on this one I like the occult club and It makes for more group activities, which I really like in this manga the family restaurant chapter is a clear highlight for me. So I think It'd be fun if we got different ghosts with them maybe even connected to our main 6.

UNDERDOCTOR
I'm really trying to get a read on this series , I mean it has an overarching story now I guess with whatever group was working out of cameroon, but it's also full of these 1 to 2 chapter vignettes which I guess are gonna encompass all the "doctor" parts, but to be honest these vignettes often are more unique than the "under" portions, as much as I liked the villain of the last arc this little part was quite a unique problem for the underdoctor to face, I just wish it was longer. I'll wait until I feel we're in the groove of things to give my opinions more clearly but as of now I do atleast see some paths the story might take.

Drawn to the Fire
I really liked the newest character,his backstory was compelling and he's a bit of a tsundere which is cute, that last glimpse into Natsu's past was interesting too, but I still have an issue with this series. We've got a full team now but can anyone name the other three ,can you even picture their faces, we don't know them at all it's so strange to me, I feel like I'm out of the loop and we skipped all their intro chapters or something. I'm half expecting them to get replaced in the next arc by new characters .Apart from that I think this series is moving along at an ok pace its just the three background stooges I'm worried about.

Shinobi Undercover
SLICE OF LIFE IS BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER!! We need to advocate for more prom arcs in manga because I'm already super into this ,also we get to see Aoi again finally. Hibari is getting her shine now too ,she has to compete with Aoi and maybe confront her feelings for Yodaka ,maybe she'll be forced to break stop her overly cutesy school facade to win. I'm gripped right now.

Kitano's Magic
It's fine.
This arc has just been alright the entire time, it's definitely better than the last one but I think,at least for me is suffering from us not having a clear goal to follow, I mean I know Kitano wants to get stronger but I just don't know what for really,apart from the vague idea of protecting people even harder, it's weird how he has a colourless tag but its not even a goal for him to get to bronze or anything. Stuff is kind of just happening,I feel like this arc could be placed 50 chapters forward and not change at all y'know, its seems very arbitrary, I guess I'm just wondering where were gonna go from here.

[Discomusic]

1. Akane-banashi: The performance of Kaisei is now rivaling that of Akane. He put all of his personal story in it, and his personal story is...messed up, to say the least. That boy needs to be saved, or as the Mangaplus comments suggest he needs a good therapist.
2. Ichi the Witch: A nice bridge chapter with some important exposition (and a bit of "as you know..." unfortunately). The recurring theme of the chapter was the bond between mentors and pupils, discussed both in the table tennis game (Ping Pong Peril was wilder anyway) and in the sauna scene. I wonder who is the master and who is the pupil anyway.
3. Cannon Master: It's shaping up as a very nice series. I like the ambientation with the towns in the desert, and the concept of Regyliths. I like that the Master may be better than what he thinks to be, and the town major who I thought was going to swerve the duo in some way but he actually seems a genuine good guy. Definitely a series to keep an eye on.
4. Blue Box; And so it happened, I was actually more excited when they were doing the smaller things for the first time, like holding hands or indirect kiss. After all these chapters building up their relationship piece after piece, this conclusion feels natural, and I am only happy for them. The healthiest relationship in Jump since Taiyo and Mutsumi.
5. HunterXHunter: Oh God, the pain is back. I caught up thanks to a small reddit recap this time and enforced myself to read all the text, so in a way or another I was able to understand and even enjoy what was going on. It adds a lot of extra time to my already tight schedule, but thankfully it is for 10 chapters only. Placed high because of my personal satisfaction and for the final twist.
6. Class 2-B: Hero Destroyerz: I'll be damned, a good chapter of this series! This new ally is very strong for real, I liked that they all become stronger just because his advice is that good. He can become a very interesting mentor figure, or he can become the catalyst for a very large number of toilet jokes. Your move, Sorachi.
7. Nue's Exorcist: Not too long ago, I asked for a chapter where Nue finds a way to fight by herself, and I was granted way earlier than I expected. Now can I ask for a chapter where Zenno arrives in his underpants and defeats at least a Level 4? The fight of the week was also nice, I liked the concept of the Main Unit. By the way, kind of a surprise for this series to go full serious battle in the issue with the most romantic developments of the last years.
8. Me and Roboco: Tons of romance this week. I forgot about those two being an official pairing already, so it was a good idea to bring back the plot thread. They are cute together and they have a nice (and crazy) family supporting them, this couple has a bright future ahead.
9. Sakamoto Days: A chapter of pure action with a bad omen looming over it. I liked this chapter more than most chapters of this recent phase, because of how the fighters interact with the environment, that reminds me a lot of the atmosphere of the early chapters.
10. Hal Formula: Makes sense for him to lose the following race, and it is a good thing that some potential rivals are at least being mentioned. The chat with the soon-to-be mentor was also nice, and I like that the sports aspects (that are at least questionable at this point, if the most important skill is not fearing death) and the business aspects are both taken into consideration. An adult reading Jump cares about them, too.
11. Drawn to the Fire: It continues to be "not that bad" but the same can be said for so many spokons that failed. The new character becomes a rival for both protagonists, and creates a new dynamic within the team that may work. The problem is that he's not very suited for teamwork, but this can be the trigger for his character arc.
12. One Piece: It doesn't always happens that a flashback concludes and we are immediately moved back into present action right in the same chapter. I thought for a moment that this action part was already going to introduce an even greater flashback, but we are spared for now.
13. Under Doctor: Strong, emotional and all that, but the fact remains that the guy got away too easily with his crimes, and most importantly that short arcs can only do this much. The series needs a make or break, plot relevant long arc that incorporates both action and medical drama, and that will finally tell the truth about the true potential of the series. Author, find some courage and go for it!
14. Roku's House of Oddities: A chapter about the sixth curse...wait, it's just the occult club, the only non-curse people that Roku interacts with. It is true that we should learn more about them, but I am confused by one thing...in the end, they released something from the phone boot, didn't they? Is it something that could pay a visit some chapters later?
15. Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi: Happy second anniversary! Not a particularly impressive chapter, just a clash of ideals with the other one going the "all demons are insects" route. Not the most engaging of the characterizations.
16. Kinato's Magic: Nothing particularly offensive here, only the feeling that this arc is dragging for too long (the opposite issue of Under Doctor if you think about it). The two holding hands and preparing to perform a dance is nothing compared to everything that happened in Jump this week.
17. Animal Signal: Oh, so it is a "hit or miss chapter" type of series. This chapter was not a hit: not horrible either, but it reminded me of "Syd Craft: love and mistery" and how there was too much love and too few mistery. Here there is too much comedy and a weak attempt at a mistery.
18. Someone Hertz: It's supposed to be cute because even when hanging out with friends, they can't stop thinking about each other. This is actually a sign of a toxic relationship, but they are teens so every emotion is strong, and they can be excused.
19. Hima-Ten!: No final swerve at the end, and that's fine. We get a 5 years alter epilogue, we see where every character is, and apparently the main couple is erasing any other aspect of their life to stay with each other as much as possible (but again, it's youth and can be dismissed for now), the two protagonists are implied to not see each other anymore, and everything is so flat that I wonder if any of these characters is truly happy. Not a bad ending, but a Route B ending that dissatisfies everyone.
20. Shinobi Undercover: What a weird arc. Everyone accepts the new "mission" without even raising an objection, and now all the efforts are on finding in any way to force a relationship at all costs. Even the protagonist is in it! It all feels so forced.

Is my understanding correct that the Japanese reception to each series is the following:

Animal signal: fairly positive but not a lot of passion

HAL Formula: pretty positive with some passion but some slightly skeptical

Cannon Master: mildly positive not a lot of buzz

I'm really not sure where Under Doctor's going and I don't think the author does either, it's ch 22 and it's just doing 1 and 2 parters which is not a thing that happens in modern jump outside of gag manga. I don't mind it personally, episodic series can be fun, but I really get the feeling the series has completely lost its intended goal due to the battles being so badly received and is struggling to find a new one. Instead of a series climbing back up the magazine from a weak start, it instead feels like a manga that's about to get cancelled and is rapid-firing the characters and stories the author really wants to show off before it's over.

Even Kinato feels more confident in its direction than Under Doctor and there's no way it's surviving another round.

Genuinely I don't remember the last time a series has felt THIS directionless. We are now at volume 3. For perspective, by this point:

-Nue's Exorcist: Has revealed the Hyo, shown the Captains and inner workings of the Bureau, has a PROPER mini arc for Shiroha, and overall foreshadows a whole lot of stuff.

-Kagurabachi: Also had a proper first arc with Sojo, it introduced Hakuri and Rakuzaichi, showed the issues with the Kamunabi, also foreshadows a lot.

-Kiyoshi: Introduced Asuta Roth and very openly foreshadowed the Black Parade.

-Shinobi: Introduced multiple fugitive ninjas making it clear that they are the villain group to watch out for.

It's just a few examples, but all of these series set up clear goals/overarching stories (the Hyo and the Fujino, the EBs, Hishaku and Rakuzaichi, Black Parade, Protecting Aoi and the many fugitives, etc.).

In UD, all we got was the name drop of the Snake Whisperers, Haiji's friend in a coma... That's it. And both of these, 18 bloody chapters in. And after that, back with a single SoL chapter and a two parter mini "arc", both unrelated to those mentioned plot points. Even Maxwell, the closest thing to an arc this series has, with 5 chapters to its name, has nothing to do with the supposed overarching plot.

I hope I don't get responses going "Let Tanizaki cook" because I cannot emphasize how much almost 3 volumes is. That's more than what MANY axed series get, and it barely set up anything with it.

I brought up this concern a while ago. I think more and more people are starting to agree. It’s possible this goes the route of 70’s manga where it’s very serial based and we don’t get long arcs. Something like Hokuto no Ken. I feel the chapters and arcs are pretty repetitive and plot might be a weak point writing for Tanimoto….. but something is working. 20k for a newbie is insanely great numbers. The ethos and emotional side of Under Doctor is pretty good; it’s just the rest that feels a bit hollow. Maybe it’s the fact that it eschews pretty much everything most other manga do to set up that is getting people to like it? Either way an odd situation; it kind of reminds me of Reborn’s start (was Reborn doing bad before it pivoted to action?)
