I am hearing ODA and SIU comparisons lol. SIU is not at that level, bro. Please stop, you guys. ODA gets a break in the industry because he has earned it by creating the biggest shonen ever, while SIU has been delivering garbage ever since season 2 ended. This is the absolute truth, and believe me, I did love early TOG. The season 1 and season 2 stretch was crazy with mad potential for the future, but SIU was not able to deliver.

It's funny how we have similar opinions for entirely different reasons lol

Oda never takes months off. He takes a week off and maybe 2-3 in December. Unlike SIU who takes 3-9 months off lol!!!

I think most ToG fans would be in favor of SIU taking 1-2 weeks off each month over his hiatus’

Imo post skip OP has been mid compared to pre skip but it has improved from egghead. Elbaph definitely has been peak arc but we are also at the end game now in OP.

Is it really impossible for SIU to make it forthnightly? Obviously it would have less strain on him and we would always dig some material from foD or whatnot to keep us busy for 15 days, so maybe we can make a petition and talk with naver/webtoon if SIU also agrees.

Season 3 started strong with Baam handing Baragav his ass and with all the trash talking but all the Yama shenanigans did my head in. I did like Yasharatcha as an antagonist; then SIU had to do that nap gimmick with Yama. Nah, man, season 3 was mid. I didn't like the Dumas-Baam fight with all the "I am going to take it out" and "I am going to take it out" nonsense. Khun was underutilized for me. I didn't like how Rak unlocked his ancient lineage powers; he could have handled it much better. Hmm, what else? Oh yeah, and don't forget the zoomed-in panels. Mannnnnn.

On the contrary, I quite enjoyed the Fishman arc because key revelations regarding the future were made like --
The ancient weapon Poseidon was revealed to be embodied by Princess Shirahoshi. The prophecy of Joy Boy was introduced. Discrimination against Fish-Men was exposed. The significance of Noah was hinted at. The connection between the Fish-Man Island kingdom and the world's hidden history was also suggested.

Dressrosa was also pivotal with artificial devil fruits, the KAIDO alliance, and the Gear 3 form; yes, pacing could have been better, but ODA landed the ending for that arc.

The problem with SIU is he just cannot stick the landing ever since Season 3 began. He leaves everything ambiguous, and his power scaling is inconsistent. He gives us readers more questions instead of some answers from long back. In my opinion, this is not an appropriate approach to a long-running story. These are valid criticisms. No one can gaslight me into thinking that his writing is the greatest thing since the discovery of sliced bread.
