what do you think about the thing I pointed out about nash ? do you agree something is off there or am I just forgetting something ?

So, first off, I think claiming hider d1 is entirely non-indicative of Nash' alignment. She would do this as a mafia member trying to deepwolf, as a mafia member trying to generate drama that will clog bandwidth but not lead to a lynch, as a town hider that is open-hiding, or as a non-town hider trying to avoid getting killed by bluffing as hider. In short, it's a completely useless statement in my eyes right now.

Having said that, it seems you are struggling to parse what she is saying:

your role is hard to protect ?? ....

But I *am* the hider so either evils have a way to circumnavigate roles like mine + samurai or town has whacky roles that are hard to protect.

She isn't claiming to be from the 2nd category, only the first.

If today comes down to a half assed/random lynch I will protect the people that read as town to me.

The protect people is conditioned on the coming down to a lynch, meaning she will try to lobby away from certain people, not use some actual protection ability, since I don't believe there are any d1 lynch protections even feasibly possible.

Hider lets me hide behind someone every night, and as long as they don't die or I don't hide being the killer's faction I'm safe. To answer how hider works.

Really depends on if mafia has stuff like escort/poisoner/doc to deny roles/have flexibility/protect them.

But with a small game there's only so much utility a maf can have so I guess the presence of a samurai wouldbe telling to what mafia looks like.

Weakest hints so far imo are in GrySun, Kako, AP, Erin, DD (if he be hinting rn then nvm)

Hints aren't mean to be overly large, impactful or prominent at times. It would be dead sus to paint a target on your back, hinting a role that wants to be targeted...

Its alot of guess work, but hint/claim a role like hider (as you have... and you give the Mafia/anyotherparties imfo that you might be more valuable to keep around as a 2 Kill Power Resource. (If they kill the persons you hide behind, they kill you) - which leaves town down 2 as opposed to the usual 1.

I would say that's more sus than giving a slight hint about role or ability.

I'm gonna be honest, forward, and if I get lynched then aight.

There is no definitive "these are in the game", moreso the Mods Advising us of Role's to Consider that are archived roles, rebalanced or one-offs.

I see that but look at the actual hint list as summarised by Sam.

We have a decent volume of strong hints. And even for some of the weaker hints in that list, the players behind them have been acting pretty townlike (tubbs, sam).

In practice, right now, the weakest hints are pretty suspect and likely hold a good chunk of mafia.

It's the personal reason. Plus not having the bandwidth to gigabrian anything with irl stuff rn.

The practical reason is I think Hider is a F tier claim that gets worse as time goes, so I ripped the bandaid.

Among all sole passive/active claimers AP is the only one without anything extra to it and he keeps talking big about his blending in game as mafia so I'd rather not give an evil pidge his hometurf to play on.

As for erin she needs some mechanics to hit her if possible since she admitted to being very busy so her social will be hard to read. And yeah, same comment as a lot of recent games but she's also always been town recently so idk.

Check Stylether's first page of posts and look for the duck. It think it's decently obvious and very bold for a newbie to claim as mafia.

Kako didn't say more than passive, I just have more confidence in reading his play than I do in AP. Kako is next in line for sus.

Alright, I might change it but I’m considering Kako. Something with him doesn’t feel right to me, and I know feelings aren’t the strongest basis for votes. But it’s stronger than the vague thoughts I’m having regarding other players, with things I know I’ll figure out with a day or two. So here we go

Do have my eye on Nash, but I don’t disagree with the Kako assessment so there is that. Maybe just paranoia, and will reconsider tomorrow.

Hmmm all in all, there are not a lot of players I super sus right now, but I think the only one I’m convinced is town right now is Sam. Lots of players floating somewhere in the spectrum if between.
