Hi, it's been a while! Sorry for the late reply. When Urek enters the Tower, he realizes that the power of the light isn't fully reaching him (although later on, Mago says that Urek doesn't depend on it since Urek is the light itself).
Anyway, to answer your question: Urek says he finally understands what the Tower is (it's a place meant to give birth to a new Axis, therefore it could be considered a territory foreign to him). When he apologizes in order to use some of his own power, it's like he's asking for permission to exercise authority within the territory of the new Axis. When he says it's hard for him to use his true strength, it's because he is inside the incubator of the new Axis; even though his light is strong enough to reflect inside the Tower, it isn't fully reaching him.
(When he is learning to manipulate shinsoo, Urek says something similar. Perhaps he means that the artificial glow inside the Tower is also part of the outside light, but because it's artificial, it doesn't grant Urek his full strength)

It's clear, even he's demotivated from his work. All in all this Urek Mazino spinoff reaction was not what he expected. It tanked big time if you ask me.

Honestly, glad most people aren’t like that.

It's looking bleak but I am all for his glorious comeback if he learns from his mistakes like any author. He has to be satisfied with his own work and direction of story rather than appease the masses. If he's satisfied with his work, he will be back with season 1 and season 2 level of story telling.

If season 2 continues, lot of people will cry. I don't mind it if it continues. Only hope SIU picks up the pacing and focuses on relevant characters.

There will be other seasons surely because its on a hiatus status , and ppl can cry all day long certainly siu doesn't give a damn .

i think siu will have pacing problems like he did in the past and like did it with ureks first season thats his thing LoL ( i hate that but what we can do ) .

And seems siu is going to make other spin offs and maybe we wont be seeing tog in years

Hope he will do tog season 4 before urek season 2 otherwise it will be too long

No way SIU will return with Urek Mazino S2 and not S4. It'll definitely be S4 or both at once(if you are very optimistic).

Baek Ryun seemingly have a power that can bring (or maybe let out) characters in and out of tower, and that well was also associated in some way with V as thryssa uttered. Big things happened, and FHs are simply only able to have a leverage over Urek through his companions so felt like lowest of the low for them. Nevertheless, many other stories can branch out through these info so maybe I can feel good about the absence of might FH concept.

V supposedly cared about tower residents so it wouldn't be too strange that he sided with ancient creatures his former companions made a point of eradicating or lock away. In traumerei's flashback we saw how he hunted down ancient creatures. Odds are the founding of the great families was contingent of ancient beings that would threaten them going extinct or being sealed away. Baek has an ability specific enough (to open seals or guide beings from the darkness) to think he had a fate related to this however odds are, as I have said before, that urek's arrival derailed this part of the plot when he took baek. It wouldn't even weird that baek's fate was to originally be a companion of bam rather than urek. Going a bit heavy on speculation, I could see baek being a descendant of a follower of V or Arlen. Though I suppose his powers being moon based, something distinctly alien to the tower, could go as far as evidencing him being a distant descendant to another forgotten irregular. I think descendant of a follower is less problematic to the plot, the story can only tolerate so many hidden irregulars without going completely off the rails.

Yeah, Urek also said that "Maybe I am not the one you are looking for" to him in one chapter. I generally agree on what you say here, and Baek being an ally/subordinate of FHs would definitely finish anything and everything ancient for that case.
It remains to be seen how "getting out of tower" and "having someone like Baek Ryun, too" still did not conclusively let Wing Tree out. Maybe they actually get in and out but did not make it mainstream. Especially I wonder how Urek trying to prevent a FH death would be related to them, or how much Yuri and Baek are committed to get out.
