He said several times now that the script and the overall story of the arc is finished. And that part is what he enjoys the most, the writing process. For the past several years I gues he's been working on the actual manuscripts and paneling which might take even longer considering all the pieces he is working on.

Hey everyone, just a heads-up:

the leaks Discord group announced that the magazine will go on a one-week hiatus after Chapter 417.

That's the problem, once you give people a countdown to something, many will go "oooh what is going to be announced?". In a sense it's natural because a countdown makes it feel like it's going to be somewhat important, but especially Japan really loves to do this for the smallest things. And today's hype culture doesnt help, even I saw some youtubers going omg will they announce anime??? So it's a bad mix that most of the time leads to disappointment.

Only advice you can give is to not expect anything of actual importance, but I know how hard that can be. I've been a "expected nothing, but still was disappointed" victim myself But in this case it's a little silly to get mad, it was just a youtube video. Us Hunter x Hunter fans are starving for content though, so I kinda get it too.
