The chapter begins with Ryoma declaring that he'll settle things with his brother, who tells him to go ahead.
The first year reveals that he has completely mastered his own Glowing Shot, but Ryoga counters it by hitting the Super Sweet Spot. Ludovic is shocked that Ryoga returned it after seeing it only once, while Fuji is terrified because the last time this happened, Ryoma ended up in the hospital.
Our protagonist, however, uses the same move he used against France, now called the Spin Drive. The shot is now 16 times as powerful as it originally was (its power isn't merely doubled—it's squared, going from 2² to 4²).
Ryoga responds by using the Spin Drive as well. Now the shot is 256 times stronger (16²). Both players continue raising the stakes and their tennis is completely leveled.
It is then revealed that the secret behind Nanjirou's strength was his unwavering belief in his own tennis, no matter how powerful his opponent was. That conviction stirs a player's fighting spirit and heightens their concentration, eventually becoming a strength that also gives hope to those around them. Ryoma gave hope to the other representatives and showed everyone that it was possible to conquer the world.
Inspired by that hope, Ralph says he learned a great deal from Ryoma as he looks at his hand.
"If you believe in your own tennis... perhaps the abilities you've lost can return."
Ryoma wants to keep climbing higher and higher, while Ryoga appears to have finally reached his limit. At that very moment, however, he feels a brilliant light travel through his arm... and then spread throughout his entire body.
"You asked me, 'Are you giving up?' My tennis... stealing my opponents' techniques... has brought nothing but sorrow.
To keep the promise I made to you... I entered this U-17 tournament hoping to fulfill my late mother's dream. In this match, where everything comes to an end... I was thinking about quitting tennis.
But, Chibisuke... I'm so glad I didn't give up... and kept believing!!!"
With those words, Ryoga manages to return the ball as his entire body is engulfed by a Light of Hope. The ball strikes the net... then climbs upward. Ryoma dives for it and...
"Make that big dream of yours come true."
Those are Nanjirou's only words before the ball lands on Ryoga's side.
Game and Match won by... Ryoma Echizen (Japan)!
Ryoga tells Ryoma to become a pro and continue bringing hope to countless more people. Ryoma teases his brother, and a song titled "Packing Memories into Our Rackets" begins to play.
Japan celebrates by lifting the trophy, after which all the teams share a meal together. Ryoga arrives with Nanjirou, and presents are exchanged (I assume it's Christmas, although the timing doesn't really make much sense).
We then see several scenes of the players spending their final days together with their schoolmates in Australia. Notably, Dan is shown talking to Akutsu over the phone while Akutsu continues training, and Shudo is eating shit with Rokkaku as usual.

Three years later, at Sol Academy, Ryoga is now working as a coach. He tells his students that he'll play a serious match against them once they become stronger. He then realises a match he's looking forward to is about to start.
Meanwhile, 15-year-old Sakuno finds herself in a familiar situation. It's the Eastern Grip scene all over again, except this time she's the one who steps in to help a little boy and corrects the new "not-Sasabe." The child is overjoyed, and Sakuno reflects that every time she gives someone hope, she grows stronger—just as Ryoma taught her.
The story then shifts to a packed stadium preparing for the U-17 World Cup Final in Tokyo. Germany, the strongest team in the tournament, is led by their pro player, Tezuka.
Ryoma asks his teammates if they're scared. From right to left, we see Kirihara, Sengoku (?), Shiraishi, Yagyuu, Niou, Kintarou, Yukimura, Sanada, and Yanagi. Atobe calls him a cocky little prince, while Yukimura remarks that the boya is acting just like always. Sakuno arrives at the stadium, followed shortly afterward by Ryoga and his students, who join the crowd.
Finally, Ryoma, Akutsu, Atobe, and Sanada stand opposite Tezuka and...
