#6. Any tweet, specially japanese, about news, update or some interesting thing about the magazine or series has to come with a text of what that tweet means and also be on topic, if not it's going to be either deleted or i will edit the post.
#7. Refrain from self advertising or advertising Youtubers videos in the comments.
#8. Constant fanart posts just for the sake of praising a favorite series is prohibited, this rule doesn't apply for official art by Jump artists posted on social media, they're fine to post.
#9. Don't discuss or hype chapter spoilers before Sunday release, only comment if is related to a series surviving status and do it only inside the spoiler tag.
#10. Regarding rule #9, an exception will be made for when we have new series, in this case, spoilers will be allowed only for the first 3 chapters of a new series for the users who are interested in knowing informations and details about the new series, these spoilers will obviously be kept under tags to protect anyone that doesn't want to be spoiled, so don't worry about it.

I’m looking forward to grey keys. A fantasy adventure with mystery is really cool. I felt some Muhyo and Roji vibes from the one shot (even though I actually didn’t like M&R), but iirc, the main character was like a summoning type fighter which we haven’t seen in a long while. I’m kind of live the stivie of action adventures

I have seen people calling Kagurabachi a pillar of the magazine but beside the end (sad downfall) of Bleach what "pillar(s)" have ranked consistently poor like KGB currently is in Jump?

Actaully, this might mean a lot regarding the real state of the magazine. Simply put, Hokazono is one of the youngest authors out there with an acomplishment big enough to grant him an award of this magnitude. Think about the countless authors that serialized on WSJ and got no award at all regardless of their stories. We are entering an era of Hokazono being the face of the magazine instead of Oda and others. I really think WSJ are putting his name at big because other authors might be stuyf of the past now.

We need a laughing emoji for when people make comments like this.

Only above DttF (I won't count Kinato since it was the final chapter and they always rank last) it might as well have been in last place.

No. Last TOC's lower part was Hal Formula, Kagurabachi, Animal Signal, Cannon Master, 2-B, Drawn to the Fire, Under Doctor and Kinato. The only safe series Hal outranked was Kagurabachi, that has its own circumstances with lower page counts and probably late manuscripts. Everything else down there is new and is probably fighting against the axe.

It needs a color page now to be at least considered "as safe" as Animal Signal, meaning likely the whole batch gets one and it doesn't mean as much.

Color pages do not guarantee any kind of "safety". DttF was given a color page just 6 chapters ago and we are all expecting it to be cancelled (axed) this week (and I just saw it was axed after writing this). Hal has had decent placement and it's actually one of the best new series Jump is publishing. It is arguably the best manga of the last 7 series they have released. Hal has never ranked in the bottom 5 yet, I would say it is fairly safe given there are 4 (multiple batches worth) other series performing even worse still....then I saw this week's TOC and thought....damn things may be closer between these series than I originally thought.

I have a bit of a hot take that I want to share:
I do not want Kubo to return to Weekly Jump if we're getting a Bleach sequel, I want him to go to either Jump SQ or Jump Plus because we already have more than enough veterans & returnees coming back to the magazine this year & not enough rookies.

Hot take is a good take. I would agree with this but more so based on how Bleach ended and wanting Kubo to have a better work environment and the freedom to actually do what he wants. I would also like them to really pair him with an editor that can work with him this time around. He had many (well documented) issues with Jump editorial staff in the past.

It sucks that we can't get any of the battle or sports series off the ground. Feels like all the hits are gags and romance these days.

This tells me a lot more about Jump's current reader base. Boys 13-18 aren't into power fantasy battle shonen in 2026 like they were a decade ago. The whole dynamics of the magazine are changing right before our eyes. I wish they had more sports and battle series, as they are more my liking than romcoms, gag/comedy, and SoL stories.

Yep; it’ll ebb and flow. The embrace of the longer action adventures will come again. It was supposed to be ichi too, but it’s scope is different than i think any of us expected

Genuinely.... all these leakers are corny clout chaser atp. Hard to believe any word they said when none of them actually foreseen Modulo's serialization, Hori's new oneshot, Soraichi's return, HxH's exact return date, etc.... all of which are equally hype (esp modulo and Hori's one shot). Now they just "trust me bro" on kubo and akutoenail. Naaaah.

Also, i am not in OP fandom so I had no idea at all. Did leakers foreseen the latest two movie announcement? (BAAD and the god valley)

Thinking about it again. That leaker is full of shit and doing it just to boost his discord channel.

It would be nice to see her more but I do understand why we don't see more of her. Chihiro spends most of the series either scrapping with people or waking up in a hospital bed, so Char being close to him when she has a chance to try and live a normal life as a child doesn't really make sense. Hinao is a slightly different scenario, but I suspect the nature of the tasks Chihiro has been undergoing since the post-Sojo arc haven't required the work of a sorcerer/yakuza networker; he's been too busy hanging out with the Kamunabi and such. It would be nice to see them again but I don't have my hopes set highly on such.

This among other circumstances has led to this constant effect of us getting time to hang out with characters for a whole arc before never seeing them again, save for the few key players. I do hope that with all the groundwork that was laid with introducing people in part 1 we can get to revisit everyone again in a different context in part 2.

It is possible that Hokazono did an 180 regarding Char and her abilities/powers and the connection to the plot. Let's see if he can include her in the plot later, but I doubt it.

I’m surprised because I knew Char would be blonde. Maybe a little more platinum to the point it’d be white. So I have no objections.

It may be a non-issue. But it really bugs me. I guess Hokazono saw them as dispensable for color pages and so. But it is not like he writes women that well.
