Stumbled upon this while hopelessly googling for any signs of 420 leaks. Although not too clickbaity - I lost all respect for Polygon as a publication a while back - it's nonetheless fun to see the enthusiasm HxH generates.

I know, as I pointed out in my comment. But HxH news being picked up here and there - not only on specialised manga/anime sites - is a constant welcome reminder of how popular it is despite its highly irregular schedule. Which is pretty cool.

I was too hope-pilled it seems at least this kinda proves that WSJ very likely only allows a longer run if the chapters are done already, anything else is too risky for them

Pretty confident it wont be that long again, considering how much is done already. At the pace he's going, 430 might be done this year and then there isn't much reason to wait (until they decide they wanna do 20 chapters at once next time, but I guess that would count as a win-win...)

If he he's around 428~ish, I could see early next year him returning. But he likely intends to take a break. Maybe he is still trying to fit plot pieces together in a manner that makes it flow faster. I for one, would appreciate a faster pacing now.
