First off, that was a nice cover.🥹
I think I like that one along with the ones of
Gawain and Escanor,
Percy and his mini-mes,
Kid Tristan on chpt 68 with Elizabeth,
Lance in chpt 240, and the
4koa in chpt 69.
------
Okay, now Percy and Tristan's chibi forms are adorable!
And I'm so glad my girl Gawain is setting them straight!

. Just seeing the difference in how they all interacted when they just met to now - especially with the cover as rep? The feels
------
Now, I don't know how they're gonna hide the fact that they're their kids or not cause suspicion about their identities. Lohengrin is a literal carbon copy of Anne and Kardeiz looks like he's another one of King and Diane's child. Not to mention he got the piece of the sacred tree strapped to his damn neck. Real subtle guys.
----
You know, it's absolutely nothing new that Nakaba tends to over-exaggerate or understate characters height in his artstyle, but there are still times where certain panels got me raising a brow. Once their official heights gets revealed it really does amaze you with how off he tends to be...
-----
Anyway, Ysaie's clothes. It's good call back to Meliodas but... did anyone feel like it looked off at first or was it just me?
I don't know if it's the vest. Like, it feels like he's wearing oversized clothes even though he's not. Maybe he just needs to tuck in his vest? Or maybe I'm so used to seeing Meliodas in it that it just takes some time for me to adjust to the size difference, lol.

Tristan most likely smashed isolde lmao, has the same smile Percy had
It's the so-called "Gouren Face"
Bruh, you know I saw someone call it the
fertilization smile. I just can't -

Anyway, we also get confirmation that the situation
will be resolved within a year - or more precisely under 9 months.
So the factors that we know so far is that(in no particular order)...
- Cath's goal is the worlds destruction.
- Lance is, as once again emphasized by Gawain, not possessed nor brainwashed. He signed a contract to inherit Cath's ambitions on the deal that Cath doesn't harm Guinevere.
- Ban is an implied key factor in this conflict.
- The real Arthur is back to being King of Camelot in the future, meaning he should be fully restored to normal.
- As a result of everything that happened, the world doesn't have the non-human races anymore.
- As this is a contract that was put forth by Cath and he doesn't appear in the future, it means that either he let go of Lance cause a better deal came along, Cath accidentally harmed Guinevere, there is something higher in power that terminated the contract, or there was some sort of loophole that was exploited in the contract.
So where does this leave us about how all this goes down?
There's still too many unknowns, but a core thing that I think happened is that there was a loophole in the contract that was exploited. I think this can be contributed to the fact that Lance still has his own will/ambitions besides Cath's ambitions in which the latter leaves room for interpretation.
Remember that Cath not only promised that no harm will come to Guinevere, he also didn't specify
how he wanted the world to be destroyed in the contract. He just wanted Lance to do it and we see Lance say that
he will do it in his own way.
In other words, like everyone else, I also think Lance does end up "destroying" the world/fulfilling Cath's contract - but not in the way we think of course. And this is where I'm going off of semantics.
First off, there is the question of "what makes the 'world' as they know it"?
Well, the world that Chaos created is that in which its all of the races
coexisting together. So what if the "destruction of world" can also count separation of Chaos's world? The "world" that Chaos created technically no longer "exists" if the races aren't coexisting.
Now, we also have to note that Chaos Lance seems to have
two major wills/ambitions driving him which is to destroy the world but also
to keep Guinevere safe/next to him. These two seemingly conflict eachother, but what if he can do both?
Lance can fulfill Cath's contract by destroying the world as it currently exists, while still achieving his own ambition of keeping Guinevere safe - which
is also Cath's part of the contract as well. He doesn't necessarily have to destroy the entire planet or kill everyone for Cath's contract to be fulfilled. If the "world" means the world created by Chaos where all the races coexist, then
separating that world would technically fulfill the contract, wouldn't it?
And so this would tie into the future with how the situation is deemed taboo out of consideration for Lance. Because not only did he do it, but the resolution also involved killing Ban and forced separation of his friends from their families as well as his own.
(Now I do have some thoughts of how it could specifically go down but, I'll just wait till more info comes out cause there's still not enough info yet).
