And now he looks like the kind of guy that shows up in NTR milf doujins that take place in a beach and he's got ItsSamu saying some gay things about him, and I don't care! Finally back from Osaka? Don't say another word, get up on that stage and do some goddamn rakugo! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaagh! It's been 200 chapters! Enough time has passed!
You know what, you've just inspired me to update my list of the hottest men in Jump, you're welcome.

I'll just give my two cents about this KGB discussion: it does not make sense to complain about this Arc skipping some months. If everything had to be shown, it would need to be a whole new series.
There’s “everything has to be shown”, and then there’s the very real conversation that we spent like 25 chapters on pre war stuff, and now the actual start/declaration of the war, the recruitment for the battle, and then the first 8 months of the conflict were all skipped/glossed over within like 5 pages.
I personally am excited to see misaka’s character after the tease we had for who he was in the present day. However, was it really that important for us to have like 3 chapters of Shiba and his brother fighting him? What about that drawn out forging battle against the government jobber, which culminated in the ore being refined? Did that need to be like half a volume long?
I’m sure some of what happened during the giant jump will be addressed, but also, the entire “we’re recruiting civilians to war” was relegated to a single panel. Most of this chapter was splash pages, of the time jump, and then the mikaboshi jobber squad meetup. This could have easily been two chapters, because this chapter just does not flow well.

Doy you think this whole skipping is somewhat addressing the ToC placements and the drop on sales?

Idk, I feel like he’s safe enough that there’s no way he’s worrying about that. If he was a mid ranker/seller then I could see that argument, but he’s pretty safe.

The "pre-war" stuff is probably almost as important, if not more, than some events of the war itself. We'll see over the next chapters if the same holds for the introduction of Ibuki "was worth" some chapters, etc.

Anyways, I'm enjoying the ride.

Considering the KGB chapter ended on the Mikaboshi requesting a "report on the status of the war," I think the next few chapters or chapter at the very least are gonna be a recap of the events leading up to December. I'd be legitimately surprised if we timeskip that far and stay there.

Well, they may be trying to make it sell better and get more votes on ToC.

1. Akane-banashi: The aftermath of the previous arc is very good. Akane has just witnessed an hard limit that changed completely how she views Rakugo, and a great return at the end marks the beginning of a new arc...and a new era. Way to go!
2. Roku's House of Oddities: It was pretty easy to get invested in the chapter and think that you were there drinking with that strange group and sharing your uncertainties about the future with them. The sudden seriousness at the end doesn't convince me, I don't know if it is the right moment for the shift.
3. Graykeith: Translation Daemonica: The protagonist is coherent with his way of thinking, and it is something that I can always appreciate. In the end he didn't know the other translator beforehand, but the villain and his companion were still well written for being two weak one-off characters. The Will o'the Wisps are adorable, I want to save them myself.
4. Witch Watch: The transformations have a "Super Saiyan"/"Divine Cloth" vibe, it's like reaching the final stage of the characters potential (with a touch of comedy with Nico's comment about fashion style). On the villain side, Rosvitha is a truly tragic character, I hope both him and Shikima can find peace.
5. One Piece: The flashback he didn't want to have forced its way into the narration, and delivers an important message for himself and for the readers as well. Most importantly, the narration focused on a single scene for all the chapter, which is a given for any other series but One Piece.
6. Under Doctor: This time the new enemy made a better impression than last week and I liked him more. His power seems something out of Hokuto no Ken, not exactly the most medical-esque of the series. Great saving from Haiji at the end, all the medical drama is good but some fighting here and there is appreciated.
7. Nue's Exorcist: The "no words, all action" style continues as the enemy gets stronger but an unexpected (or expected?) hero comes to save the day, bringing the recently high ranked in the popularity contest companion with her. This approach works, in a way that couldn't have worked the same at say chapter 50 because the series wasn't ready for it, but now it is.
8. Kagurabachi: The new cool guy keeps being the coolest guy in the room, I love how he escapes. The rest is a very welcomed acceleration towards the end of the flashback. I am not a fan of overly long flashbacks, even when they are good I have the impression that the author is indulging on them because they prefer that story to the one narrated in present time.
9. The Ura Files: I liked the attempt at having a different chapter from the others. It was good and introduced an interesting character, that was funny and tragic at the same time. A good fit for the mood of the series!
10. Me and Roboco: I forgot about Nyonta, he is one of the less interesting characters in the series but he was pretty funny here. What worked most is that the owner-animal contest is actually a parade of known characters in absurd situations. The rejection at the end was very sad.
11. Ichi the Witch: The Desscaras/Ichi battle is somehow less engaging than the previous one, although it is interesting to see a strong Majik panicking. The losing of powers at the end is so cliché, the Mangaplus commenters react as if all is doomed but to me it's obvious they will be regained at some point.
12. Animal Signal: The series is improving, still not my favourite but now it makes me laugh more. The new girl so dedicated to marry Tsubasa as if she is asking to help with homework can be hilarious, and can make an overly long gag work until the end which is not a feat for everyone. And the longhorn? JBL's theme in my mind all the time.
13. Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi: The side characters have their moment and it is nice, but it's a good thing that they now clean the room for the relevant side characters. But the mistery at the beginning was left unrevealed: who was summoned? My bet is a revived Asura Roth.
14. Class 2-B: Heavy Destroyerz: It seems we are not out of the arc yet, maybe Sorachi has decided that this is the whole plot now; it always changes. The new enemy was funny at least, but I hope that her gag doesn't get old too fast.
15. RuriDragon: For almost the whole chapter, the two characters kept repeating the same concepts over and over again. At the end, we are teased a fight that makes me worry if the battle turn is real. It's a pity to have waited so long for something I didn't really like.
16. Sakamoto Days: Still a great fi-Nooooo cinema guy stay away! Mind your own business! His sheer presence drops the chapter down in my rankings.
17. Hal Formula: I am disappointed by this chapter. The presumed main rival who was estabilished in this role just last week disappeared from the rivals map, most of the new rivals underperformed and the new relevant rivals can't keep up with the protagonist anyway. That's not how to build proper rivals.
18. Someone Hertz: Nice of them to have a birthday episode on my birthday, but that's all there is to it. The chapter doesn't click, and the only saving grace is Mimei and his slip of the tongue at the end. Will they ever move to the next step with their relationship?
19. Shinobi Undercover: The action is over, the rival who always escapes is beaten up instead of escaped, and we can return to the main plot of the arc...oh I forgot it was that bad. Nevermind then.
20. Cannon Master: I read it yesterday and I struggle to remember what happened. Can't really rank it high, huh?

The review from @Dongus was amazing, but it saddens me that @ItsSamu is known as the #1 Akane fan here, and not me.

WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP ISSUE #47 (2026) - AUTHOR COMMENTS!

Nue’s Exorcist (Kota Kawae)

Thank you so much for giving Nue’s Exorcist so much support that we got an anime series!!

Someone Hertz (Ei Yamano)

I finally got to see The Mandalorian and Grogu after wanting to for so long! This is the way.

One Piece (Eiichiro Oda)

I am now Pokémon GO friends with Yuki Yamada. I’m getting a lot of friends lately. So happy.

Ichi the Witch (Shiro Usazaki)

If I put a cold compress on my little finger, I sleep really well. It really works well for me. This is great!

Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi (Shoichi Usui)

I watched the final battle from JoJo’s Part 4 while working. Hayato Kawajiri is a punch line creation device.

Sakamoto Days (Yuto Suzuki)

I made a really good Double Balancers magic sword Duchess build. The Moonveil katana’s Ash of War is just as strong as in the main game!

Akane-banashi (Takamasa Moue)

I met Matsui Sensei! My motivation has been refilled, and I’ll go strong until the next break!

Roku’s House of Oddities (Atsushi Nakamura)

You won’t believe this, but I’ve been accidentally washing my hands with dish soap for over a month.

The Ura Files (Yushin Kuroki)*

Ura no Report’s English name is The Ura Files. Pretty cool.

Graykeith: Translator Daemonica (Natsuki Hokami)

I got a supergood eye mask from a friend. It totally blocks out the sun, and I get good sleep.

Kagurabachi (Takeru Hokazono)

The cool characters in Crayon Shin-chan come off as really cool. Is it because I see them from Shin-chan’s point of view?

Me & Roboco (Shuhei Miyazaki)

Thank you to Kamiya-san for his second run as my editor. Welcome to the team, Ishikawa-san!

Witch Watch (Kenta Shinohara)

I wanted to make doing squats while brushing my teeth a habit, and it’s a routine that’s lasted a long time now.

Shinobi Undercover (Santa Mitarashi)

A lot of spots from the town I lived in until recently have been appearing in chapters of Roku’s House of Oddities, and it gets me hyped!

Under Doctor (Kyo Tanimoto)

Thank you to everyone who reads my series. It’s getting cold, so please take care of your health.

Animal Signal (Robinson Haruhara)

The Yamatoya coffee beans and jellies I bought at a store were so good that I ordered more online.

Hal Formula (Kento Terasaka)

I hit the range for the first time in a while! But! What happened to my power? I need to train again…

Class 2-B Hero Destroyerz (Hideaki Sorachi)

The stock of finished work I created during the break runs out next week. How many times must I repeat this tragedy?

Cannon Master (Reiya Machida)

I have cycles of wanting sweet stuff and spicy stuff. Right now it’s the spicy season.

Obs: VIZ made a mistake, they put Ura comment as if from Numa but it's from Kuroki in the actual ToC page from WSJ Issue #47:

Sugoi posted August last year that the 4 episodes were already completed.
I see. Just curious because a part of me wondered if it was the Naruto x Ninku crossover being the 4 episodes.

Yeah, the Ninku crossover it's the 4 episodes reworked, studio didn't liked the original result and Kishi pushed for the crossover with Ninku.
