Bill Gates was cool back when he parroted quotations from star trek.

Back when he predicted he would become a billionaire before the age of 25-30.

Back when he was credited with writing FAT16.

One of few tech CEOs to admit his microsoft CEO job was nothing but reading and responding to emails all day.

Yeah but not so cool when he invests into bio tech companies then warn of pandemics that later coincidentally come to pass related to said companies research or investments.

Prollly what happens to a person with too much money on their hands.

I think I have a hypothesis about why us weebs may generally have a hard time against real life manipulative people (except good mafia role MG players here maybe :teehee ). Of course, this precludes that weebs as generally have hard time, which may be wrong, but let me elaborate below:

We are easily immersed to the completely false-unreal worlds of so many different genrees and stuff, we can get emotional, gang upon others, even like/dislike other people on the grounds of those characters. I am not even mentioning cosplays and other more real cases. Not that any of these are wrong, I would (and probably will do) myself, and I am also reading mangas everyday and think about fanfics. But to cut it short, we are easy to sort of believe the reality of such fantastic worlds that this open mindedness and naivety lets us to be manipulated far more easily.

Recently, I frequently heard about a similar view from others on avid book readers, about how they can miss the life and reality not only because they invest time and attention to not-life things, but also on gullibility maybe. They did not directly talk about manipulation and stuff but that was an easy-to-reach conclusion. I wonder your thougts.

Let me hear your thoughts. Some mentions on random order: @Charlie @Sanity Check @Jammin @z.5 @Kiki @Vali x lucifer @Erinyes @xi0 @Juviii @Tatsumaki @GrySun (yeah you rule in the land of blinds and never be here so tagging you too). etc.

My thoughts...

Narcissism versus empathy.

Empaths tend to be more listeners than talkers. Readers of manga may trend towards being more listeners and consumers than talkers or producers. The act of reading is defined by listening to someone else's story and message, thus listeners. Each role carries advantages & disadvantages.

There are social media influencers like Andrew Tate who loudly proclaim they cannot stand watching or reading other ppls content. They might be defined as more talkers than listeners.

Those two trends taken together could wind up being something like shephard and sheep stereotypes. But I think over time it is the sheep who are gaining power, while shephards are growing weak.

Projection is the most common way we relate. By projecting our own values and expectations unto others. That is why we are surprised when expectations are not met and we wind up disappointed. Even though there were countless indications this is how things would be all along.

Et al.

Month went by so fast, just realised I forgot to wish a happy birthday to my brother’s wife Saturday. So lame. 😩

Wish them a happy belated bday!🎂 🥳 🎉
Or givem a gift 🎁 🤔 or money...😏

Hmm as for the question by @arrowofsky .
More or less try not to stereotype as not every fits a certain mold. Don't judge a book by its cover. Be respectful and kind even with opposing viewpoints. You don't always have to agree on everything 💯. Live and enjoy life to the utmost as you want or need within the governing laws of course.
