Let's be honest, Diodora isn't important enough to play a big role in the fight.

I think everyone can help against Chaos Lancelot, not just the 4kota, like Balin holding with Invincible, Anne trying to use her magic to nerf Lancelot, and so on.

If it's not targeted at the diodora only, it doesn't work. Furthermore, malice doesn't mean that all attacks will contain negative feelings, unless murderous intent counts; it seems that only feelings like anger or fear are effective.

It's directed at everything which includes Diodora.

You're basically saying , if Diodora was in a room with 10 people and someone decided to kill everyone in that roome with large AOE attack then Diodora will die because the malice wasn't just directed at him ?

Exactly, it needs to be specifically targeted to him, otherwise it won't work.

Yeah but Diodora has such an all or nothing ability that it'll be very hard to make him useful but not too useful (unless the focus is more on his purgatory abilities).

Not every character attacks with Negative emotion , fighters with high skill surely won't get ragebaited that easily.

But Cath and Chaos Lancelot are consumed by Malice , it's different with them.

That is not how Diodra’s ability works.
If it were, Diodra would have easily stopped the Perils in the past, given that all of their attacks were driven by an intent to kill.
Diodra’s ability only reflects attacks directed at him by individuals who harbor feelings of hatred and anger toward him.
In Lancelot’s case, he feels nothing toward Diodra.
Lancelot goal is to destroy the world, anyone else is just a victim who evokes nothing more than his own guilt and sorrow.

If you were asked to destroy an anthill, would that mean you harbor feelings of hatred and anger toward every single ant inside it?

I think he already had his moment in the spotlight in Liones, the next one should be Ironside's death, so I don't see him doing anything in the fight.

Unless Cath holds a grudge against him for what happened in Liones, despair wouldn't work.

But that's exactly it, whether you like it or not, and yes, it makes sense. Do you hate ants when you kill them? You just need to be more smarter.

That's my whole point , Lancelot harbors hate and malice towards everything , I don't hate ants when I kill them but Chaos Lancelot does , he wants to destroy everything and in this case everything includes Diodora so his ability will activate.

It wouldn't work the same way.
Diodora is my favorite secondary character in this manga but It's ridiculous to even think about it.

Even if diodra's ability could work I wouldn't be surprised if his personal growth has caused it to evolve into something new. The ability was born out of a deep resentment to the world but diodra isn't like that anymore. Let alone that his father is now finally safe.

Idk how much of a factor Diodora will be in this fight but Ironside is definitely not safe. Guinevere said he’s going to die in his sons arms so I’m guessing his time is coming real soon

I'm not sure if Nakaba had any intention of addressing a very specific tradition. It's about King Arthur dreaming of Gawain after the latter dies of the injury Lancelot inflicted on him. It happens in a number of stories, in which Gawain's soul talks to Arthur and tells him of his doom (+ Mourning or Advice based on Version!).

Not an exact repeat, but this dream encounter somehow reminded me of that postmortem dream in OG legends.

It's not that bad when you consider Zel's character. He is not mad with power and pride isn't a problematic feature of him. His iconic line about a warrior in Cursed by Light is a sign of it. He also knows how Lancelot should feel due to her own experiences. He respects true power and understands love. He also noticed Cath malice is different from Lancelot's will. Very familiar to him. That's why he doesn't hate Lancelot and even praises his might.
