#7. Refrain from self advertising or advertising Youtubers videos in the comments.
#8. Constant fanart posts just for the sake of praising a favorite series is prohibited, this rule doesn't apply for official art by Jump artists posted on social media, they're fine to post.
#9. Don't discuss or hype chapter spoilers before Sunday release, only comment if is related to a series surviving status and do it only inside the spoiler tag.
#10. Regarding rule #9, an exception will be made for when we have new series, in this case, spoilers will be allowed only for the first 3 chapters of a new series for the users who are interested in knowing informations and details about the new series, these spoilers will obviously be kept under tags to protect anyone that doesn't want to be spoiled, so don't worry about it.

Ah dang after last chapter had me saying I think this arc will last until the 2027 issues, Kiyoshi is getting a color page for the climax of the arc lol. Proven wrong immediately XD.

The third (Banchoism) was genuinely pretty bad, pacing was a complete mess, and the 3rd (The Witch and her Tutor) while having good characters ultimately isn't much better because it's like 80% extremely text heavy infodumps.

This week's oneshot is the first since Dog Eat Dog World I'd say is worth checking out other than just for the sake of reading them all.

Maturing is realizing "Anime Original" or "Filler" episodes are actually just extra content to watch from your favorite series, not that every original episode will be good of course, but once you get over that "canon" obsession or urgency when enjoying long running animes you actually appreciate everything just so much more and sometimes even kinda wish there would be a bit more, so go for it and watch everything!

I'm sad the editors asked Kawae to cut Zenno's date with a gyaru from Nue and would love to see that turned into a "filler" episode someday.

Só Dog Eat Dog World and Inugami e Suzume are the two so far that are looking to win for you, especially the latter. Just be prepared for the sixth entry cause we’ll, I just hope Kyo improves from the original in some form.

Maturing is realizing "Anime Original" or "Filler" episodes are actually just extra content to watch from your favorite series, not that every original episode will be good of course, but once you get over that "canon" obsession or urgency when enjoying long running animes you actually appreciate everything just so much more and sometimes even kinda wish there would be a bit more, so go for it and watch everything!

I miss the era of extra content for Shōnen so much.

The only problem i have with “filler” stuff is when it completely changes the original events of the story

like how that anime completely created a narrative for sarutobi to be an asshole to naruto when in fact he really liked him (even though in the story kids do live alone to mature faster)

I'm hoping we'll be seeing 4 Akane covers next year.

Ichi the Witch declined again. Does Japan just not like the recent arcs to this manga?

Also someone needs to address the elephant in the room that hertz has not gotten a single boost from tsugimanga.

I feel like every Jump manga has been declining in sales these days. Especially those that sell more than 50K or so. The only one left to see is Ruri Dragon. But we need data to see if that is happening or not.

At this point only circulation numbers w digital included are relevant + digital views and any revenue numbers via oricon...believe people have just focused on buying only a few series they are hyper invested in these days versus every single thing under the sun.

Bleach.

Bleach's decline started at chapter 456. That is 10 years into the run, and it was a slow descent not a drop all the way to the bottom. In 3 years Kagurabachi has been hit the bottom multiple times something Bleach never accomplished 1 time in its first 3 years (and maybe its entire run based on my research today). Even at the end of Bleach's run, it never hit the bottom 2 times in a row. And again, you have to wait 10 years for the decline, 14 for it to crater, and I couldn't actually find a last place finish for Bleach. A lot of close to the bottom 20 and 21 ranks but even when it ranked 21st Isobe Isobee Monogatari: Ukiyo Wa Tsurai yo was ranked lower.
I also ran the rankings through ChatGPT
In the first 135 chapters (3 years for both series):
Average ranking:
Bleach ranked 8.55 - Kagurabachi ranked 9.56
8.55 is a higher ranking than 9.56
Lead Color Pages:
Bleach 10 - Kagurabachi 7
I was surprised to see Bleach with so many LCPs and how early it got them (started at chapter 5)
Color Pages:
Bleach 14 - Kagurabachi 22
Kagurabachi has 8 more but the level of competition in the magazine is much lower (imo) at this point in time. Also, by comparison MHA had 31 total color pages in their first 135 chapters.

All of this to say you being upset about people questioning what is going on or what may happen to this series in the future is way overblown (imo). There is reason for concern because this is something that readers haven't really seen or had to go through with other series, especially the ones you listed. This was a very poor comparison on your part. The MHA one is bad too as their worst ranking ever was 17th (chapter 405), 4th from the bottom.

It seems to me like there is a discussion every time the sales figures get posted about a decline in overall sales. Your comment felt very deja vu. I think it's a combination of things; inflation, younger people's preference for digital, and there just being way more competition now. I am sure there are some other variables that I am not even thinking of as well.

if it was at the bottom like Kagurabachi we could probably discuss this, but since its almost at 1st place every week, i doubt that

I think it's a combination of things; inflation, younger people's preference for digital, and there just being way more competition now. I am sure there are some other variables that I am not even thinking of as well.

It will be interesting to see which series will grow throughout the years.
