#6. Any tweet, specially japanese, about news, update or some interesting thing about the magazine or series has to come with a text of what that tweet means and also be on topic, if not it's going to be either deleted or i will edit the post.
#7. Refrain from self advertising or advertising Youtubers videos in the comments.
#8. Constant fanart posts just for the sake of praising a favorite series is prohibited, this rule doesn't apply for official art by Jump artists posted on social media, they're fine to post.
#9. Don't discuss or hype chapter spoilers before Sunday release, only comment if is related to a series surviving status and do it only inside the spoiler tag.
#10. Regarding rule #9, an exception will be made for when we have new series, in this case, spoilers will be allowed only for the first 3 chapters of a new series for the users who are interested in knowing informations and details about the new series, these spoilers will obviously be kept under tags to protect anyone that doesn't want to be spoiled, so don't worry about it.

This looks like the typical fake manga that appears as a joke within the story of a real manga. I find it hard to believe that the author and the editors looked at that character and said "yep, this is going to sell millions of copies".
Honestly, none of the announced manga really catch my eye. I'm slightly interested in the design of the MC in the new manga by the author of Yozakura, but unless it turns out to be a pleasant surprise like Graykeith, I doubt I'll read more than 5 chapters of these new manga.

It has between 8.5m ~ 10m in circulation. Also Isobe Monogatari from Nakama Ryo has has over 1 million copies in circulation for 14 volumes, it's a gag manga, is supposed to look silly and no one really expect gag series to sell like a battle shounen, still every magazine has gag series because readers like it, if it turns out to be a hit, great, but otherwise it's just fine.

I'm slightly baffled at Witch Watch ending before Sakamoto Days, but glad to see Gondaira returning, and at Graykeith getting a colour page.

The preview of Jean is in Danger sound possibly like the Disney cartoon Milo Murphy's Law, about a kid who always ends up in the worst possible outcome of any situation but remains extremely positive at all times.

Funny thing is that it legit took me 30 minutes to actually realise the 2nd series was from Gondaira after i got the preview page, i just saw that TinTin looking guy and checked the name realising it was Nakama Ryo that i thought "ok, the other 2 are newbies, let me check Nakama series and who ended", still, when i proceeded to check the other 2 i didn't even realised it was Gondaira artstyle until i translated the author name and went:

Legit freaked out because i never expected, crazy thing is that i even went through the authors names earlier to make my predictions and when i saw Gondaira name i thought "It hasn't been even 2 years...", if i only i knew

Ryo Nakama and Hitsuji Gondaira? Feeling like 2020 Jump all over again.

High School Family: Kokosei Kazoku is one of the underappreciated gems of the decade, and I've always craved to read Isobe in its entirety, so another Ryo Nakama manga is always a good thing in my book. People will disagree because his artwork isn't flashy but for me he's one of the best when it comes to panel flow and making each chapter so easy to glide through. Will it get preferential treatment and survive despite the odds and seemingly poor performance? Let's see. But if it's as enjoyable as HSF I'll be just as content with seeing it play out if it does. Can't say the main character design inspires me much though.

Here's hoping I enjoy Mr. Nichigetsu more than Mission: Yozakura Family, which never properly clicked for me. Part of that is that there's something so digital about his artwork that makes it feel like it out to be in Jump+ or something instead. Just never been a fan of his artistic choices. Not one I had coming back this soon either. And then Shinobu Kasaya was not on my radar at all, but looks like it'll be a sports romcom with a hint of lewd, at least based on their previous one-shot and and character designs. Huh.

Not the most exciting batch for me, mainly because none of the names I've been crazing for years are popping up either. And can't lie, the whole Bleach Hell arc rumour just looms over everything to the point I wish that certain annoying JH didn't main character himself by claiming what was happening outright because it keeps setting up an expectation, especially if Sakamoto Days does end next week or shortly then that doesn't really add up.

Witch Watch ending before Sakamoto Days is something though. It's also the younger series of the two, so it's out of order in their wrapping up, but I guess veterans don't have to follow the exact chronological rule as much. I'm just curious now to see if Sakamoto Days somehow lasts longer or if Cannon Master manages to cling on for another batch. One would still give the Bleach rumour life, while the other is my favourite flop in a long time, so there's something optimistic about both... watch them both end and the magazine just runs one series less.

Does anyone think salto is playing too safe by having back to back batches with only well known veterans? I mean I know we have a rookie as well but you get what I mean. Having a bit of fresh new talent would bring some new light to the magazine. This year we had a total of 4 newcomers making debuts compared to last year’s 10. Kinda sad really. Hope that changes in the future, cause relaying solely on veterans is not the most ideal thing to do.

Okay, pretty interesting things
First, WW ending before SakaDays is crazy lol! Now I hope only Sakamoto ends and don't axe Cannon Master. If they axe it we would run with one series less AGAIN and it would annoy me a lot tbh.
And, Graykeith color page yeepeeee!!! Pretty nice ToC for Ura & Graykeith too!

Now about the new batch...
Never read any Nakama series, I don't really like his artstyle and I'm kinda bored of gag series recently but, heh, why not, I'll read it anyway. Could be a good surprise maybe!
New Gondaira series?? HELL YEAH!! Very happy to see him, I'm reading YozaFam rn and it's great! Happy to see his new series in real time!
And last one, a tennis series by a newbie, could be interesting, idk at all.

So yeah, we don't have a lot of newbies this year. But with long running series ending, Saito might want to play it safe and have hits with veteran (especially after 2025 flop lol) I think that when we'll be more stable, they'll start to serialize again more newbies and risky series. Maybe next year!

I read this week's oneshot, Superpower Fantasy Battle Club. It's about a boy who transfers to a new school only to be immediatey accosted by a battle shounen-crazy kid who ropes him into checking out his club for people trying to develop superpowers (but secretly, MC already has powers and hates them since he's been tracked his whole life by an evil organisation trying to recruit him).

I really enjoyed it, what makes it pretty cool is that the crazy kid fights by analysing how exactly his opponent's power functions, theorises what the weakness might be, and using all different gadgets he's made to target that weakness.

There's still a final GFC oneshot left left which could top it, but this is easily my winning pick so far.

Bringing Gondaira less than 2 years after Yozakura ended isn't really playing safe, it's not like Gondaira is a huge name too with a big money machine behind him, if anything is pretty risky, i hope he planned this series well.

Nakama Ryo is a competent gag author so if you have to bring a gag series, why not someone like him, i doubt people actually care about "newbies" when it comes to gag lol

True, but giving Gondaira had a successful series alongside Nakama I thought it would be smart to have a new face, in this case only Shinobu is new.
Maybe, its just that this year was really veteran heavy, so I was a bit annoyed thinking that saito is just playing too safe by having four back to back veteran heavy batches. Sometimes you need fresh new faces to deliver something new is what I think. No offense.

I hope next year is not as heavy with veterans and focus more on giving the limelight to the newcomers, is all I would want. Don't you agree?

Also Shinobu is, or in this case, was an assistant for the series black clover. So make do with that as you will.
