Another gag manga huh?

Re: [Newcomer] Super Dog Rilienthal by Aahihara Daisuke

More or less gag, yeah.

It's kind of got supernatural/fantasy stuffed thrown in too. Chapter 1 and 2 were unspectacular but the whole premise is so good I can see it developing into a fun series once introductions are out of the way. Definitely worth following, at least for a little while.

its more like comedy to me though
it has regular length, and there is a consistent plot, kind of like Hayate.

not a bad series, although I'll probably drop this eventually. don't do well with plain comedy series.

Aw, the doggy thread finally appeared ^_^

I read all its chapters, some here and some on Jump itself, and I'd say it leans towards comedy, but like Sket Dance it's a fusion Genre type of Manga, (Chapter 7-9 is a little horror-like), like everything/genre you can imagine with a talking doggie with special powers will be done here.

Aww, Rili kawaii... XD
Anyone thinks the Ancient Epytian art styled catty actually has some "future" reference with the Space cat?

Cute little doggy! It reminds me of the other cute kitty in Chi's Sweet Home.

Kinda sad that it is a short series of 4 volumes...

So THAT'S where I know that name from, the guy who's doing world trigger did this first! I thought it was a weird little series but was hoping for it to go places... obviously it didn't but oh well, I'm glad the author found some work with World Trigger and is doing decently well with it. I haven't read that one yet so I don't really have any thoughts on it.

I thought this is a potentially good series to continue longer, but somehow it didn't get popularised. I was looking forward for it back then though.

The author's current series, World Trigger, seems pretty interesting. I'll put it in my reading list.
