Discussion Aokiji's EoS purpose

So, he's supposedly an ally to the Blackbeard pirates but there's a lot of theories that make sense as to why that could be wrong.

What is Aokiji's role EoS.

Not WG. Aokiji was trained by Garp. His loyalty lies with the Marines. Joining the BB pirates is just a ruse to gain more information.

I imagine his main thing is going to be being a major influence in reforming the marines. We don't know what SWORD's deal is, but I imagine he's a part of it. If he isn't, I still imagine he's helping the marines in someway. But his current trajectory seems to resemble Drake's.

This is what I believe. I don't think Garp would let his pupil who just happens to be one of the strongest fighters they have to just walk away.

Interesting you say this, but then there is Dragon, Ace, Luffy and Sabo haha (they are not pupils so there is that).

Aokiji was all about lazy justice back in the day so... I don't really know how it plays out into him allying with the BB pirates. To me it just makes sense he won't be fully committed to the BB pirates but it seems weird he have actual purpose there. He did warn smoker about stuff that was going on after saving his ass from doflamingo but the situation didn't make it clear he was fully siding with the marines.

Sometimes to me aokiji gives off sort of shanks vibes... As in, being the type to try and avoid or deescalate conflict. but in that case you'd think the other yonko would be more fitting targets for him. BB should be the least influential of the yonko even now considering his relatively new empire and that BB's abilities two years ago were substantially beneath what we have seen from current yonko (he probably has improved of course). Spying on the huge unknown that is kaido in wano or the massive force big mom is would have made more sense.
