A LoneLobo POI / Review
Hi guys! Like always if have little time for reviews at the moment. So I thought of a way to do a review without using the usual 3 hours I need for every chapter. This is what I've come up with: I will only focus and the main aspects I think are worth of discussing etc. when it comes to some chapters. However, in this triple review only the first chapter gets this kinda treatment.Welcome to a LoneLobo Points of interest / review.^^

Chapter 609: Adventure on Fishman Island

POI 1: Where is Jinbei?

So, what happened with Jinbei? When Luffy asks about him Usopp is shocked because Luffy is friends with him, but wasn't that already clear? I mean, he sailed with Rayleigh and Jinbei to Marine Ford and this was covered in the newspaper. Oh well. Luffy really wants to see Jinbei because he is the reason Luffy could get over Ace's death and all. So he is shocked when Keimi tells him that Jinbei and the Fisman Pirates (the old ones) had to leave Fishman Island. Why is that? My guess is that the government really wanted/wants to see him dead and so he had no choice but to leave. I doubt that something else forced him to leave. But Keimi also hints that a lot happened since Whitebeards death (remember: Fishman Island was under his reign/protection).

POI 2: Total Eja.... Sanji's Blood loss and Racism

Racism was a big part of One Piece during the Arlong Arc, and here we are back to it again. Hammond calls Sanji a shitstain, "inferior race" and helpless creature. He lives up to the tatoo he is carrying, using almost the same words like Arlong did. On a sidenote: Usopp is totall right, saying that this a stupid way to die. So true... I'm also not really happy that Oda turned an obvious device of comic-relief and used it in this way. Back to my point: Hammond then tells us about Fisher Tiger again and Luffy seems to remember this name. Fisher Tiger died because he didn't get a blood transfusion which is good to know...

Chapter 610: The Fortuneteller Madame Shirley

Sanji saved… for now and Luffy "poisoned"

Okay, do you remember that I really didn’t like this part of the story? Regardless of that, this was so hilarious. Sanji getting blood from Okamas and and all was really funny.
Chopper determines that Luffy got poisoned, but has antibodies fighting it. Lufy then tells them about Impel Down and that he almost died there. Anyway, Luffy also says that the octopos fishman blocked is attack and that he must be strong. And I think he is. To block a jet pistol you have to be quite quick. The poison also seems to be a strong one, because he hopes that Luffy doesn’t die from it. So it was actually a good thing that Luffy fought in Impel Down and got poisoned. This may come in handy in the future.

Mermaid Café

Corribou seems to have escaped his barrel. We are going to meet him again some time in the future. Meanwhile, Luffy and Co. are in the back of the mermaid café. The boss there is a huge mermaid who used to predict the future succesfully, for example the pirate age or Whitebeards death. Pretty neat. But Luffy doesn’t care and asks her if mermaids poop. LOL. So cool. Camy (or Keimi…) tells them about the food mearmaids eat, which is seaweed and shellfish meat. Making Luffy go angry because they take meat lightly. So funny again xD. My point here, One Piece is still funny, even after ten years. Oh well. They enter and meet the starfish Pappug and… Brook. That’s convenient =P The plot device named “going to Pappug to eat meat” (which makes Luffy really happy) is activated and they decide to go there. My prediction here: They will meet another strawhat on the way.

Van der Decken, Big Mam and an unknown future

The last part of the chapter tells us who exactly van der Decken is: the grandson of the original captain van der Decken and someone who wants to marry the mermaid princess and is threating. That's all there is to it for now, but I think van der Decken will make his move in the very near future and this will cause a lot of ruckus.
The next thing we know is what happens when Mermaids and Fishman... like each other very much =P After that we see a pirate flag of Big Mam, showing everyone that it is protected by her. Before I can think about it Pappug lets us know that she may only do this from a business point (they have to deliver a lot of sweet candy to her every month). So the question remains: is she good, bad, or somewhere in-between? Only time will tell ;) Oh, and there's a nice play on words with Gloverly Hills (Beverly Hills ;)).
The last thing we are confronted with in this chapter is Madame Shirley screaming to find Luffy. Why? Because he will destory Fishman Island. What? Of course he won't... We get a glimpse of what she saw: Flames and Luffy standing in front of it. My guess here: Van der Decken will attack Fishman Island or the New Fishman Pirates will do something (or both...) and Luffy will protect the island. But of course there will be damage... hell, maybe even Big Mam does something.

Chapter 611: Hodi Jones

Meeting the New Fishman Pirates

This chapter does not start where the last one left off, instead we get a look at the freaking huge ship of the New Fishman-Pirates. A ship is trying to escape after "joining" the NFP for a short while to avoid being killed after escaping the Kraken and meeting the Sea Monsters. Then we finally see the important members of the NFP: A hammerhead fishman with a hammer as a weapon. How fitting. Some strange japanese wobegong fishman, whatever that is, and a cookiecutter shark fishman. How cutre that name is =P The last member is a giant squid octopus with eight arms. Hachi anyone? The captain is Hodi Jones, a great white shark fishman. There is definitely a resemblance to Arlong regarding his looks, although he seems to be a bit fatter, and also regarding his posture. Oh, and then he takes drugs.... what? o,o

Meeting Neptune... omfg

Before this can go any further we jump back to Luffy. Long story short: Nami is in Pappug's shop, she thinks its to expensive, Pappug says they can take what they want, the shop is empy. LOL. This was just great. But hey, in the end they are pirates and steal ;)
And then the ruler of the kingdom, Neptune, appears on his whale. So awesome. Luffy is funny again. There is also a shark nodding when the king asks him if these are the ones. Neptune then invites them to the palace and everyone except the strawhats are wtf... lol.
Now, after these chapters we have a pretty clear picture of the Kingdom itself and the powers that be. King Neptune rules the land with his four children. That is one side of the coin. The other one are the New Fishman Pirates, which I would put in the category of rebels. A third force is van der Decken, but he is not an internal one. So, there is a lot of conflict potential here.

Don't do drugs

The third and last part of the chapter revolves around the NFP again. Hodi attacks the "escaped" pirate ship alone. Handcuffed and totally on drugs. A fishman is nice enough to explain the drug, calling it "Energy Steroid". One pill will double a fishman's strength, and a second pill will double it again. But every drug has a bad side: you die earlier. Like smoking... kinda. We also get the typical "Fisher Tiger was awesome but the humans let him die" stuff, but also "Arlong's will". That's interesting.
Hodi meanwhile destroys the whole crew, showing even more resemblance to Arlong in his fighting style. The whole ship is then put in a bubble and on the way to the New World to demonstrate that the New Fishman Pirates are... well, super awesome. In a bad way. He then talks again about Fishman being the superiour race and such. One interesting bit here: the king is called cowardly. And he wants to steal the island back from him. Well, I already said it: rebels!

Predictions

What will happen next week? That's a very good question, like always. We will accompany Luffy and co. to the palace, but we will also meet another missing strawhat. My guess is on Zoro getting in trouble with some NFP. Maybe we will get to hear Jimbei's message, and I think this would make a good cliffhanger. That prediction stuff of the mermaid shouldn't play a role next chapter.
This concludes this review, take care and wait in anticipation of the next one... and I'm sorry for doing such short reviews... this wasn't one of my best ones, but maybe you liked it in some way.
