Where are all our editors at?
I see a lot of translators but not as many editors "help wanted" positions.

Lets face it, very few translations comes out clean and easy to read. Even professionals make grammar mistakes.

Perhaps it isn't as big of an issue in manga oppose to anime sub since you can always take your time to re-read the translation if it is phased awkwardly. However, it is still rather irritating to have to decrypt an awkward sentence.

So, the bigger question is why isn't editors emphasized as much?
At best I see a sticky for "proofreading"

Aren't you asking about quality checker or proofer? Term editor in Edited Manga business is someone who cleans and typesets.

That's the job of the proofreader, not editor. As he said, editor in term of Edited Manga works mean those who clean and typeset the raw. Proofreaders are people who read through the translation and change any mistakes or phrases to make the translation better. ^_^"
