All right, I guess I'll be the first to grace this thread.

One of my favourite moments (and a major wtf one at that) is when Leech had half his head bitten off by Uvogin. There's no conceivable way I could have anticipated such a brutal moment.

I'll probably return to add a little more to my thoughts.

-Worm busting his fist on Uvo's jaw and then that magnificent shot of his face getting obliterated by Uvo's punch (manga)

-Big bang impact (1999 anime)

-Uvo v Kurapica: the choreography! (1999 anime)

-Kurapica torturing Uvo (2011 anime; was comparatively tame in the 1999 anime by comparison)

-Indoor Fish losing its form and turning into fish shaped gore as Kuroro opens the curtains. (1999 anime)

-Gon v Hanzo (1999 anime)

-Razor throwing the ball for the first time. Panel was extremely well drawn/animated, really nailing the sheer amount of power and impetus in his throw (2011 anime and manga)

-Gon sent flying from Razor's ball (manga and 2011 anime)

-Kuroro v Zoldycks culminating in the complete devastation of the ball room (1999 anime)
