You know the panel. Chapter 812. What was whatserface talking about? They're "lucky the full moon is covered by clouds"?

I hope it's not a simple were-transformation phenomenon. Though I guess I won't be that disappointed since Oda can spin crap into gold on a whim.

Maybe they're more adept at fighting and hiding at night (Nocturnal animals), or they're much more aggressive at night time. Had Wanda not appeared, Luffy would have been fighting multiple opponents. Maybe, Wanda has limitatoins as to where she can go, even with her special previllege as a "Ruler's Bird"

I think they just get more aggressive, and slightly stronger but it shouldn't be anything extreme because if that was the case then Oda would've mentioned or focused on it during the Jack flashbacks

I wonder what Oda is implying with the moon. It's most likely that the minks go berserk in that state, kinda like werewolves, so is he trying to say that the SHs are in danger because of that?
Up till now we've seen the minks as a very fun and loving bunch, they're so cute almost like teddy bears. It would be interesting to see them turn into mindless beasts during the full moon.I like that duality, it would show that minks can be dangerous too. And since the SHs are now heading to Nekomamushi's place, with all the night minks it's perfect.
Maybe this is what he needs in order to bring more suspense in this arc, since up till now it has been mostly a flashback, with us getting tons of information about Zou and characters such as Sanji.

I suppose it could be simpler than that. Maybe during full moon both diurnal and nocturnal minks stay awake, doubling their manpower.

I wonder if it's specific to the moon and night though. There should be some sort of equivalent for the day minks, since theoretically they never see the moon (aside from assistants like Wanda/Carrot).

the full moon can make the minks turn into sulong form.
