Synopsis: Tsubaki is a girl who loves making her younger sister's hair pretty every morning, but she doesn't think that kind of style suits herself! The day of her High School Beginning Ceremony, after she failed in being the top student (who usually makes the ceremony speech), she finds herself sitting next to the actual top student of the first years, the worst rude guy ever, Kyouta. She ends up cutting his hair on purpose because of the bad things he says to her. Kyouta demands that Tsubaki pay him back with her body, but Tsubaki fixes his hair instead--making it even shorter! After that, Kyouta unexpectedly kisses Tsubaki and swears that he'll make her his woman.

Yeah I am. its quite interesting =D The art is beautiful. But the gap between chapters is too large.
If you liked this you'll surely like Dengeki Daisy http://www.onemanga.com/Dengeki_Daisy/ I find it better than this manga.
Either way, I hope the next chapter comes out soon!!

Yeah, I bet the gap is long, but I really like this manga. I haven't had to wait much since i read the whole thing in one day. :XD. I find it actually pretty funny. The art is nice, but I'm more into the story right now. That's what made this manga so easy to get into a the beginning.

Dengeki Daisy was really good, you should start a thread for it lol.

I am absolutely into this - although of course, you find yourself screaming at Tsubaki all the time. Honestly, like most shoujo romances, the characters are just making it harder for themselves. However, the characters are very appealing and the whole manga is, too. I couldn't resist it.

Anyway, it IS by Minami Kanan - albeit one less smutty than her usual - this has just enough of that to keep me happy. :)

I think this series is pretty good. I end up following this one even after today. I started reading this out of curiosity, that is. :3
The base of the plot actually is not very special. A diligent student trying to change a lazy and gangster-like student, and they both fall in love to each other along the way. The fact that Kyouta fell in love with Tsubaki was a bit too sudden for me, but I finally accepted it that he simply like her because she resisted him so much and technically 'won' over the fight. Tsubaki jumped to conclusions too fast and trust someone else too easily that sometimes it annoyed me. XD But that is her trait, I suppose. The way she and Kyouta changed as they matured was nice to see. I wonder what kind of obstacles would they meet later on. Tsubaki still hasn't told her mother the truth about her having a boyfriend, haha~

Re: [Featured] [Shoujo] Kyou Koi wo Hajimemasu by Minami Kanan

Full of tired cliches and stereotypes. This mangaka has a tendency to set up a seemingly independent & spunky female character in the first chapter, but in the subsequent chapters, does everything to undo that that by the end, the protagonist is the overly emotional, insecure, whiny character that most shoujo mangas tend to have as the main character.

The art's kind of nice, but all the guys look the same (albeit with different hair colors).

pretty good series. I enjoyed. Felt a bit cliche somehow, i kinda knew whats going to happen and stuff like that but still enjoyed. I men it was popular enough that it had 2 ovas i believe or 1 not entirely sure haha.

New chapter is out from Sporadic Edited Manga, chapter 71, if you haven't noticed! :tem

A new character is introduced, interesting. I wonder what obstacles would be in this double-Tsubaki couple's way. The new girl seems to be an interesting character, more or less an ambitious person. I think there would be another love triangle soon. XD

I'm so late behind on this series, haha~

I read on Sporadic Edited Manga's page that it seems like this series will end on chapter 97, or around that number. What do you think? We are at chapter 74 at the latest, around 20 more chapters to go. It feels like there is enough space for one more complication, this last love trial for the two Tsubaki.

...Or two. :lmao

Personally, I'm tried of the love complications between the two -sigh- It's pretty much either a girl comes between them and they have to fight their way through, proving each other their commitment or Tsubaki suddenly breaks down realizing that she may not be the right girl for Kyouta. That's pretty much the summary of the entire series in a sentence. Nevertheless though, I continue reading it for enjoyment and because Minami Kanan is one of my favourite mangaka with nice smuttiness :P

In general I agree with your opinion, rudorofu. This series is a bit too long for a more or less similar complications, yet I just can't stop since I had come this far. ^^; I think the beginning was a bit more lovely, when both Tsubaki matured and realized more about love and relationship and family, though the method not vary much. XD

Haha, yeah. There's either something special about the manga that I can't stop reading or it's because I've already read all the translated chapters to date that I don't want to stop XD The beginning of the series was definitely better in comparison to the more recent elements...Should have expected this from Minami Kanan since it seems like in many of series she seems to like playing around with the characters' love story :x
