Izumo Kunisaki, a descendant of Izumo no Okuni, is often mistaken as a girl. It is the bane of his existence. His father and best-friend (i.e. the girl he likes) often laugh about it. To top it off, he plays the girl roles in his family's Kabuki troupe. In this short, he discovers that that curse is also his greatest source strength and will prove just how much of a man he is.

Very funny manga! Izumo is a hilarious character, typical bad tempered shonen lead, the contrast between his feminine looks and irritable personality is written perfectly! The first three chapters are really enjoyable, definitely worth reading! Fans of Hayate and the World God Only Knows will really enjoy Jijou!

Comedy hmmmm~~~
I've been reading the oneshot and I think I like the serialized version better though they're both really enjoyable....the comedy I mean xD

The gender bending elements are actually entertaining, and totally not as Shounen Ai/Yaoi as I thought it would turn out.

They're not a comedic device either. I like how the jokes are about his discomfort with his role rather than typical guy in drag silliness.
