Noumus are monsters of unimaginable strength created by All For One, having multiple Quirks and causing widespread destruction.
This thread is for the discussion and theories about Noumus and everything related to them.

I will start this thread with something from the new Volume 7 which came out in Japan recently.

It must be referring to this page from chapter 55:

What that explanation is can be speculated, but that Horikoshi drew that boy between the text about Noumus doesn't leave much more room for one speculation.
That boy appeared in chapter 1:

Maybe the winged boy from chapter 1 could be the Noumu which tried to take away Midoriya during the Stain incident.

WTF... I guess the doctor kidnapped children and used them for his experimentation. With his job he can easily know which Quirks are going to be useful. Could be why they are looking for Bakugou.

Really liked the idea, great by Horikoshi. I don't remember who found out that that Doc from the first chapters was helping AfO, but after that it was natural that he would target kids with good quirks, or at least wait until they're stronger.

He probably doesn't need that. It's very unlikely that this kid controlled his Quirk at full power given his age. They must have other means to enhance Noumus. The first one they fought had a strength rivaling All Might and other strong Quirks.

Never thought about it before but is Noumu a pun or hinting at something like for most of the heroes?

Well, perhaps AFO can also steal mutation type quirks? If he did that then perhaps the kid just had his quirk stolen... But in turn it would be weird if midoriya had at this point not mentioned a friend who just arbitrarily lost his quirk. It makes more sense that the kid would have been kidnapped or something of the sort. I do doubt the kid was the actual noumo... Unless noumo's can be made to grow faster.

The kanji for Noumu - 脳無(のうむ)
脳 - brain
無 - nothing
So it means brainless or mindless

With the "Major Incident", which Future Deku mentioned in the last chapter (Chapter 84), getting closer i thought if that could have something to do with the Noumus.

1. With what Horikoshi wrote in Volume 7 (see the first post of this thread) is this another one of these "details" of the Noumu stories?

The boy in the first picture is a classmate of Deku from his middle school. The Noumu Gran Torino fought against was the one who attacked the train with Deku and Gran Torino on it.

2. What was the case with this Noumu?

This Noumu attacked Momo and Awase during the Summer Camp arc. But why did he look at Deku in this way in this panel? The Noumu didn't do anything after this panel nor was he seen after it. Was it meant as a shock moment for Deku? Seeing a Noumu as their enemy being only a few meters away could be a shock moment, but Deku didn't even see him nor noticed him.

Are these two possible new cases for the "Noumu Stories" Horikoshi wanted to reveal? Could the "Major Incident" reveal the truth about the Noumus?

I am not sure he is looking at him, we can't even see his eyes, but if they have a mole at UA they should have one or more in the other school for Heroes. It should be much easier to steal Quirks here but nothing has been notified in the news so it's probably not him. If student had disappeared somewhere I think it would have been mentioned in the story by one of the students, unless maybe they found a way to copy Quirks with some unknown method.

This reminds me that I had thought of something which I forgot to post.

Among their group of friends there was that dark haired kid

He appeared less than that guy with long fingers and wing boy but he is never seen again. Yes, he might have no importance at all but the fact that Horikoshi drew him on the page where Bakugou fell along with the first page intrigued me. In the Viz translation, when Bakugou gets his Quirk the teacher says that it's another impressive one, I don't know which is more correct but maybe he was a classmate with a powerful Quirk who got taken like wing boy?

Was the second's quirk ever shown? If not... Maybe it's Deku's dad? Since he's missing...
