Hello, I am new to this forum so sorry if this theory was actually mentioned somewhere.

Little is known about this man's past, which makes him very suspicious regarding his true goals.
He sent a whole squadron to a suicide mission, which resulted in a total failure.
He actually probably did not care whether it would damage the cage or not at all.
He needed to free some space in Jahad's army so that he could add his own servants as soldiers.

One of the 3 orders of Jahad was to slaughter the whole Po Bidau family.
It is clear that Gustang has got some hostile project in mind against Jahad since he stole those hostages
and items from Jahad's army.
Gustang also could have killed both White and Karaka in the Floor of Death but let them go instead.
I wouldn't say they are allies of FUG but they definitely have some common goal, hence the reason to let each other live.
So it wouldn't be surprising that Lyborick isn't really an ally of Jahad either.
He may or may not know about that 3rd mission given by Jahad but
I honestly got triggered as soon as I saw the name "Po Bidau" popping up in front of
the new appointed commander's face. Among all the 10 families it had to be that one listed in Jahad's orders.

I really think he is a genius, he made up everything pretty well.
He acted against Jahad's army by destroying Squadron 4 as he knew they were faithful servants of him.
Everything was perfect: by asking his official subordinate Kallavan to lead his squadron to suicide mission,
EVERY possible scenario was gonna be convenient to him:

Kallavan's reaction to his orders:
A) Kallavan accept and lead his squadron to death, so Lyborick gets rid of most or Jahad's most loyal soldiers
B) Kallavan desobeys so Lyborick can treat Kallavan as a traitor in Jahad's army and use all his means
to kill him under Jahad's name as a fake justification (despite Kallavan's total loyalty to the King)

The mission's success:
A) They manage to destroy the Cage and its people in one shot. An achievement for the commander of the
4th Squadron, increase his reputation/influence and have other commanders trust him.
B) They fail to do any damage to the Cage or its people: Lyborick doesn't weaken Jahad's opponents at all

Overall battle's issue
A) FUG wins, Jahad takes a big shot in his power and reputation for losing a battle involving 2 squadrons
B) Jahad wins, FUG loses a couple slayers and elder(s) so it incites everyone aware of the 3 orders
to choose to destroy FUG rather than Po Bidau family since they are weakened. And Po Bidau are not
designed as enemies of Jahad since they officially didn't do anything wrong.

It's just brillant how Lyborick goes against one of the most loyal servants of Jahad and still acts as if
HE was actually the one loyal to Jahad by questioning Kallavan's loyalty with his last order.

He saying that he wanted to dispose of them because they were "more loyal to Kallavan than Jahad"
was genuine lie: they might be loyal to Kallavan, but Kallavan is totally loyal to Jahad
so no matter who they were more loyal to, at the end they were ALSO loyal to Jahad.
His reason of disposing of them IS because he wanted to get rid of Jahad's loyal servants.
Probably is he going to appoint other Po Bidau members as officers so they have more influence
in Jahad's army. As a consequence, two possible objectives:
A) They can betray Jahad more easily and stab him in the back when the time comes
B) Guarantee Po Bidau family's safety by deterring anyone from trying to attack the Po Bidau family (if he happens to know about that 3rd mission)

Not sure why Adori Jahad made him commander despite him being a potential target of Jahad because
of his family, she might also be up to something.

Let's not forget Princess Maschenny also killed all her own soldiers on purpose
by engaging a fight with Jinsung Ha and shooting everywhere.
While she officially is the one who got Jinsung imprisoned, she is also the one
who gave him one of Jahad's anti high ranker weapons thanks to what he could prevent Kallavan's squadron
from getting to the last station and kill Bam.

(I wanted to make some constructive post but I still feel like I forgot many details to mention, plus it looks messy so I might edit it later)

Welcome.

So you are saying that Lyborick is possibly a mole? Maybe it's the case(though I don't think so), but if he is I think he is aware that he is going to die in the end, so he is acting as a sacrificial pawn. I don't think Zahard and Adori would choose someone that's not loyal.

Lyborick might be a mole, but I can't imagine Adori as one. She is pretty much Zahard's right hand.

Thank you.
Yes that's my point. I don't know about Adori, but if my theory is right, she probably doesn't know about Lyborick's true intentions, so I'm not saying she's a mole or a traitor at all.

I wouldn't be surprised if that guy tries to enlist Baam in Jahad's army...up till date he hasn't made a single comment about our irregular, it's always those annoying 3 dots. That aside, I believe he is loyal to Jahad, he might even know about the genocide order, he just needs to prove he can still be trusted from here on out and he will believe he is set for life. ( I believe he won't survive this war tho)

That would be surprising regarding how hard Jahad wanted Bam dead.

it doesn't look like lyboric disposing of the fourth squad was lyboric's call alone though. We are talking about him killing a ton of high rankers, some of whom were nobles to boot. This is something which iirc was approved by higher ups. And it's true that kallavan's squad would be loyal to zahard because kallavan is loyal but that kinda stops being true to a great extent when kallavan gets demoted from his position. Also worth noting, lyboric didn't only get rid of however many high rankers the 4 squadron had, he also brought his own new 4th squadron.

So for this to be a sort of setup, he would have had to convince his higher ups to get rid of getting rid of high rankers, while at the same time recruiting new ones and have the higher ups accept this. It's pretty convoluted for a mole. You'd think other people involved in this process would call BS.

We are talking about him killing a ton of high rankers
Who?
As far as I know, the only potential victims in the blast are Dorian Frog and the 2nd unnamed High ranker in Division 2 mentionned by Yolker when they came to the Floor of Test.
Regimental and Battalion commanders are Ranker level (Powler, Misebichi, Holly) and Company commanders Advanced Ranker level (Drak) so I'd assume there are no (or at least "not many") other high rankers in the squadron that we are not aware of. They probably would have overwhelmed FUG if they had that many high rankers while FUG had only 5 (+Bam and White) in this battle, including one who didn't even fight (Yama), and two fighting someone who's not even from the Squadron.

Also worth noting, lyboric didn't only get rid of however many high rankers the 4 squadron had, he also brought his own new 4th squadron.
I did say it.
One more reason for being suspicious since he could have sorted all the people loyal to him and/or his family rather than Jahad.

I think it makes no sense to get rid of Kallavan's squadron if Lyborick really was just a puppet of Jahad: they lose many valuable soldiers and even ended up turning up the strongest ones (Kallavan and Cheonhee) against them. He was well aware that Kallavan wouldn't die and try to kill him if the plan failed.

Its very much a possibility.

Adori could have sent Lyborick there to test his loyalty to Jahad as well since he's a po bidau and a khun, the former declaring war on Jahad and the latter not being on friendly terms.

so if he truly managed to splinter the 4th squadron all for the sake of his true allegiance (po bidau/fug if they're working together) I would honestlt be very very impressed. He might also taken White restoring his power into consideration and plans to weaken Jahad's forces and their allies Lo Po Bia at the same time. If he also gets ridded of Kallavan, Jahad suffered quite the loss in this round. (potentially losing both Kallavan and Yasratcha in this war escpecially if he turned side midway).

The answer to why Adori sent him is obvius. She wants to see if he's loyal to the crown or to his family. I think he too is too smart. He is a intellectual person so there is no lost to him in this battle. If F.U.G wins he can side with the family and credit them winning to him letting them win, if F.U.G loses he can go to Adori with proof of his loyalty but as of now he looks like he's losing on purpose.

Perhaps a different way to look at this is that lyboric's plan isn't to betray zahard but rather he simply set up kallavan and his allies to fail. So that he gets a chance to kill him. Kallavan would always be a threat to lyboric given his power and very obvious intention of recovering his seat.

Is it possible that Endorsi was actually adopted by... the Po Bidau head?
If it was for another meaningless family name, I'm pretty sure SIU would have let us know already, but why would her family name still be a secret after almost 500 chapters when she's so popular?
Moreover it would make sense and give Jahad another reason for thinking about wiping the Po Bidau family, right after he saw what happened at the hidden floor, with Endorsi not only helping his worst enemy (Bam) but also trying to date him. (and siding with the "fake princess" that he tried to get rid of in Season 1)

Only contradiction would be that Endorsi said there was only one ranker in her family in Season 1, but remember Lyborick is also a Khun hence maybe not considered a real Po Bidau, and Gustang's fleet has mostly non-human people, so they could just be his servants and not actually family relatives.

As it looks now there can be many moles in Jahad’s army that are trying to stay under cover because of the power of Jahad. Furthermore, the more that the story goes one these moles will come forth because Baam is gathering power to defeat Jahad.

Also, before this current arc that is going on began. There has been mentions about things starting to shift in the tower and new people showing themselfs.
