The Izuna Theory.
- Alright lets look over the facts.
- It is true that Madara took Izuna's eyes.
- Itachi said that when one gains the EMS, they gain eternal light, but at a price, they lose their personality and gain the personality of the one they took over.
- Madara is dead. (As seen in the previous chapter, he was revived)
- Madara is alive as a pathetic shell of his former self. (Said by Itachi)
- Itachi and The pathetic shell of Madara's former self, trained with one another at one point, right before Itachi eliminated his clan.
- Itachi and the pathetic shell of Madara's former self worked together in Akatsuki as Tobi and Itachi.
- Obito is dead (seen in the Kakashi Gaiden)
- Itachi is dead (died of sickness)
- Shisui is dead (Suicide, assisted by Itachi)
- Danzou is dead (Suicide)
- Uchiha clan is dead (By Itachi, with a tiny bit of help from Madara)

Alright so this pathetic shell of Madara's former self has been seen to replace his body parts with zetsu and hashirami's cells (seen when the Aburame's clan's purple bugs infected this pathetic shell of Madara and Madara easily ripped his arm off, later having a new one)
- Madara gained the EMS by stealing his brothers eyes...Izuna was not sealed away, but he was seen in a coffen.
- Now my two seperate theories.
1) Izuna's personality took over when Madara used Izanagi facing Hashirama, he loses his original 'Madara' body in the process and his Madara personality becomes weak.
- We know that Izuna and Madara both had similar ideals, so Izuna was bad as well as Madara.
- Izuna's personality may have been worse than that of Madara.
- So that pathetic shell of Madara is actually a little bit of Madara's body that was saved during Madara's fight with Hashirama.
(Remember that chinese guy from south park with the three personality problems? He believed he was Chinese, White, an evil mastermind, and a nice little boy, all at the same time)
- This could be the same issue taking place here.
- So this pathetic shell of Madara could actually be Izuna (His personality) because the EMS transmits both feelings of the people whom have transplanted eyes...plus the people who transplant to GET EMS have to be brothers, or family related.
- The space time jutsu that is being used would be that of Izuna's.
The Madara we've seen so far in the manga that just showed up, is the original madara, with his original personality.
- This Madara has a different personality than that of the 'Pathetic shell of his former self' Madara.
- This Madara has different abilities than that of the Madara we've seen.

2) Thus, a major threat to EMS is trying to contorl yourself. You will begin to go crazy, so it's a really tough power to take hold of, plus, just look at how crazy Itachi was, he was nice, creepy, and a hero all at the same time, several personalities).
- It's all about controlling one's self.
