I thought I'd better get on it before I lose my motivation.
For this test, unless people say otherwise, we will be doing a fantasy setting
Think dwarves, hobbits, pantomime wizzards
Anyone who wants to play should think up a character, then draw them
Think up a backstory (but not post it here - it can be PMed to me, then you can choose how much to disclose, once the game begins)
Then they should post their intent to play below - I'll then write more about the backstory, where they are, etc.
Following that, we can get on with testing the shit out of this idea
Players will PM the host their actions each 'turn'
The host will then PM back questions, as well as character specific frames [things other players might/might not know], etc
The host may also post a general story event should all players be witness to it
Players are free to question the host in PM, if specific question about event or character ability, or post in general thread if a general question all players are able to read
All speech must be posted in the form ofbadly drawn images - thing speech bubbles in comics/manga - Unless, not all characters are there to read/witness it
Don't fret if you can't draw, skill isn't a prerequisite
The host will roll all skill checks in private and will not disclose the results
This means, if you want to perform an action, like open a chest/kick in a door/strangle a malnourished diseased orphan, then the host will test to see how successful you were (or what concequences there are for your henious actions) and will act accordingly.
The host is under no obligation to say if an action succeeded/failed or by how much it did either
Anything said in the main thread, not in picture form, isn't taken as an 'action'/or as something which happened - so is treated as an 'out of game/character' discussion point
More may be added if/when it becomes necessary to do so
