Chapter 570: Bridge of Life
Pictures used thanks to mangastream
My first review, and it's more a comedy recap than a review, I hope you guys like it. Here goes!
Chapter 570 review
Last chapter ended with Luffy releasing a Haoushoku Haki blast, so to start off the new chapter, queue a few more people who have an opinion about that:
There's also a few atmosphere shots to remind us that wars aren't all that bad.
Like this pirate, holding his fallen friend tenderly in his arms:
On the marine side, Akainu still looks like he's taking a dump.
He clearly wasn't impressed
Luffy, we all love the guy but let's face it, he just isn't very bright.
He doesn't seem to have a clue what is going on.
Or do you, Luffy?
Yeah I thought so.
Meanwhile, Whitebeard, who has received many angry letters from fans who want this war to end already,
urges his troops to advance the plot.
Their hearts filled with bravery after pop's words, the New World pirates rush forward, happy that after being ignored for so many chapters, they finally get a chance to take the spotlight!!
I like Bob. He's the one with the afro and the pointy teeth. Kick some ass Bob!
And you might not have noticed at first, but Luffy's in there aswell. Look closely at his expression.
Luffy: "Huh? Who are all these weirdo's?"
Ivankov spells out to Luffy that something epic is happening.
But the poor kid just doesn't get it.
Note to the author: We don't want to see poses like this from a crossdressing grown man with a huge head.
It's time to give some love to other side characters. Luffy gets attacked by Mihawk, but the old swordmaster gets cockblocked by the most unlikely person imagineable, Mister One - Daz Bones!
Who then proceeds to get owned in one hit by Mihawk, awtch..
This is pretty epic, someone actually goes down in this war!!
Next up to save Luffy is the Pimp himself, Crocodile.
I would make a joke here but I'm afraid Croc would kill me.
Elsewhere, Hancock is having a bad day. Her right leg got really fat, and her ass is hanging out. Sentoumaru is a gentleman and pretends to not notice.
Aaaanyway, back to the plot! In a surprising turn of events, Inazuma is summoned forth to join the battle.. from Ivankov's hair!
~Well it was surprising on sunday when we read it in the Apprentice spoiler~
In any case, Inazuma proceeds to use his Crab Powers to cut up the concrete and flip it over to create a bridge to the execution platform.
OMG he totally failed to crush Ace like a bug. So close Inazuma! Maybe next time!
Luffy, who is still tunnel-visioning Ace, runs up the bridge and in the epic cliffhanger of this chapter, his path is blocked by his grandfather, Hero of the Marines, Vice Admiral Garp! (who by the looks of it is activating his Gorilla zoan powers!)
It is all up to fate now! So let's spin the wheel of fortune and see who will jump in to save Luffy next chapter!
The end.
Comments appreciated!
