This implies Yas' nature was to betray WW. If I'm following you.
Yas actively orchestrated things to give WW all he desired, and then some more that he wasn't even aware of needing.
Or, at least he tried to provide comfort to WW, by way of the safety and freedom of his pack, oh, and his KIDS, to ease him leaving his master.
WW squandered the opportunity that those closest to him made damn sure he would know about in advance. He waited until the DAY OF to act surprised (he's also an idiot as well as a coward) and then bail on the plan. Putting the whole operation at risk.
Not that it matters either way. Rei's involvement makes the whole thought process moot.

The difference is WW has a family. Offspring. And made a vow to his lover, the mother of his child(ren).
Yas is a free agent working for himself, sure.
But WW can't even challenge to overcome his own instincts for the freedom of his people.
Both are played by fate and instinct, but 2 things are ALSO true: WW is a lazy, take-the-easy-route piece of shit considering all the above, and Yas never operated in any way to purposefully harm WW, in spite of not understanding him and his dog-like mentality.
