Hiromu Arakawa, Rumiko Takahashi, and Hiro Mashima are probably idols people look up too for creating multiple series back to back like that.
Tbh not all of their new mangas becomes a hit like their previous work. You can even argue that if any of them ever serialize in WSJ, some of their next works after their respective hits would have been cancelled.

Shadow Eliminator is a manga that teaches us that how important is character design

No matter how bad the writing is. If the appearance looks good, it will sell reasonably well.

people here keep prasing manga like MMA but its character design is UGLY and bland as hell, that's the main reason why it flopped

Ngl, Todo appearing is the first I've felt like it's actually coming close to ending. At least this Sukuna fight. Gege loves using Todo as a closer so if he's showing up now when Sukuna is missing most of his bag and other characters incapacitated, he might be coming to help Yuji seal the deal

Call me an eternal coper overdosing copium. But i think it is not yet near the end because i am still waiting for:

Megumi, Nobara and Gojo's revivals

what, they are dead? Lalalalalala i cannot hear you. (Let me have my hope 😭)

I think Megumi has the highest chance of getting saved tbh. He is literally everyone's goals.

UU and Nue behind Kagurabachi backlog is always amusing to see.
Unless it somehow exhausts the remainder of its stock it'll probably outsell both this week.

If you say that nakano treats newcomers like trash, I believe it.

I think after seeing Yozakura and Undead Unluck boost, Shueisha must be more severe with the mid tier of the magazine. If u can't sell more than 40k, u're axed.

Those cancers must definitely be eradicated for the health of this magazine.

At the same time, the newcomers were not good enough to overcome those garbages. I wonder if they'll cancel KGB to saving those unsold anime protection trashes

If your beloved Nue's exorcist got canceled, you will feel the power of the series being protected by the anime and favoritism.

That's how it works.

I hope they cancel literally piece of garbage like UU, yozakura, elusive samurai and Roboco along with Nakano's resignation

You guys really trying to push with the hot takes huh? 😴
Just these mangas, i love Undead Unluck, but are not a Shonen Jump 200 chapter manga action Tier. Shueisha keep them because they might be a big success after anime release. It was not the case. May be Shueisha must be more severe later. Another time i don't talk about the qualities of the manga.

except if they decide to keep series based on their quality and not their success. which would be a good idea, but that's not how Jump works. but still it could be a good idea.

V1s of Naruto and One Piece landing on weekly charts, nice

Also Best Blues writers jump+ series is at 9 volumes, didn't even realize he found success there.

With how much harder the weekly grind is on manga authors as they get older, would only see Gotoge, Furudate, and Horikoshi return in a monthly serialization regimen.

Kishimoto and Akira Amano seem fine in their non weekly regimens for their subsequent hit manga.
Both gotouge and furudate seemed quite healthy at the end of their manga.

Furudate took only 2 breaks(I think) during haikyuus entire run and was able to do covers and color pages very frequently.

Gotouge never took a break during demon slayer with frequent covers and color pages and was described in an interview to have a high amount of work ethic.

Also there have been many cases of 40+ year old veterans starting new manga in wsj
•Yusei Matsui returned to jump when he was 42 with the elusive samurai
•Kenta Shinohara was 47 when witch watch started
•Tadatoshi fujimaki was 40 when kill blue started
•Kawada was ~40 when martial master asumi started
•Ken wakui is probably over 40 years old
•Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro was 44 when build king started
•Kentaro Yabuki was 40 when ayakashi triangle started.
•Ryuhei Tamura was 40 when cop and dolphin started.
And many more...

Megumi is still alive.
Alive, but Sukuna-shaped.
I want my Megumi back to Megumi-shaped 🥲

I genuinely hope Rin Matsui is not taking it too hard on themself. Their art is stellar. They are still young. Even Hori himself had two failures before MHA.

Even if DA gets cancelled, Matsui should still be proud of DA. They has came a long way and had done so much better than so many other people. How many people have dreamed of getting serialized in the biggest manga magazine in Japan? Yet so few achieved that. Matsui did get serialized. One stumble is not the end.

Sure maybe internet trolls can easily throw the word like trash etc. But it is the blood sweat and tears of the mangaka.

Hoping the best for Rin Matsui.
