Honestly, it's the only Josei but I was completely hooked so I guess it's deserve its place here
I nominate 7 seeds for best Josei. The plot is very clever, a perfect balance of comedy, drama, romance and suspense. Definitively one of my 2011 coup de coeur.

Second Chihafuruya. The story is so touching, the characters so likable, and so engaging. Reminds me of Piano no Mori.

Perfect mix of comedy and drama.
As well as greatly drawn.

I voted for Chihaya for all the same reasons I seconded the nomination. Hopefully everyone who does not read josei takes the opportunity to give it a try, along with Usagi Drop, 7 Seeds, and Kuragehime. All worthy series in their own right.

I've only read a chapter of Chihaya. I must say that the Japanese card game doesn't thrill me like Go, Mahjong or Shogi would. And there aren't that many chapter translate yet but I will probably give it another try later

Well that is what we call a close call, funny thing the winner is the only one i don't read (yeah i've started Chihayafuru, but so far it feels more like shoujo)
