Uuuuh... maybe most of the jokes aren't that funny, especially that there's a bit too much toilet humour, but going as far as saying it's pathetic... well maybe you have a taste of your own (or maybe I do), but I still think "pathetic" is a bit too harsh!
Plus you don't see parodies about HxH every day, so it's a good idea to support them if you like watching anime parodies.

Okay, I admit that I laughed at some points like the thumb wrestling, but it was mostly stupid jokes...! I guess any parody outside the field of Team Four Star team is underwhelming. I did however like Leoreo's voice and performance.

And should I feel insulted with the usage of the 1999 soundtrack instead of the 2011 soundtrack?

Yeah it's true that these guys being the real deal, it's difficult to appreciate other teams' work!

It was ok. I chuckled at a couple instances.

But out of the abridged/parody shows I've watched, I'd have to say DBZ Abridged and YGO Abridged are my favorites. I didn't care for this one as much.

Sorry. But that was honestly painful to watch. I rather not hate on them because I know they're just trying to have fun. But well...they simply are not funny.

Yeah, I didn't like that. It wasn't like it was so bad if offended me (not like a 1999 HxH abridged series I watched very briefly), I just didn't laugh.

Ever watch Matthew Fish's Death Note subtitle parody?

It's EXTREMELY crude toilet humor. But at the same time he's really good at it.

Haaa well then suit yourselves! (-_-°) I thought they weren't bad and I just wanted to say: "Hey there are these guys doing this thing", maybe in the end they weren't worth it, although I still don't think they deserved that much bashing.
Either way I don't wanna put too much effort in defending something I don't care about that much in the first place. Whoever enjoyed it a bit like me, good! If not then that's good too.

Dude, I'm really not trying to "bash" them. If I said they were good I would be lying and I think that would be an even greater injustice to them. I'm not saying they should stop.
I'm saying they need to work harder on their material. Just because they are "doing their thing" doesn't mean that they shouldn't be criticized. I dunno maybe it just didn't "click" with me. But the point is I didn't find them funny. Maybe it's just me. I dunno.

Anywho if you like them then more power to you.

It's not because you said they weren't good that I considered it bashing, I said so because at the beginning there were no arguments, just a concise "they're terrible." (figuratively speaking), maybe that's a cultural thing and you're used to this kind of "cold" criticism, but that's why i said what I said.

Other than that I think they should work harder on it too, that's why in my opinion supporting them was a good way to make them put more effort into it, again I'm not "demanding" that anybody likes it!

Hm, seems i yet have to find a good parody of anime exceot for DBZ and Yugioh.

Tbh, i do think that it is not possible to like a parody of an anime you really like as in LOVE and take serious.

I mean, i like dragonballz and dbza, but only because i dont see dbz as serious, and the addition of trash humor just makes it funnier.

For example, a hunter x hunter abridged deconstructs memories of serious and emotional scenes i grew fond of, and i dont like that.

A good one piece abridged is hardly possible, too, because one piece does so much fun of itself that it is hard to make s th good out of the leftovers.

The yugioh abridged works great because there is just so much to laugh about regarding yugioh, whether it is the horrible plotline, the incredibly shallow characters or the even more absurd spin offs.

Also, i do think that it is best to abridge s th that is outdated, because it is like a revival for people who watched it back then as kids or young teens.
I for example was a die hard dragonball fan as a kid, as a teen i found it stupid in retrospect and hated it, and now i love it again due to dragon ball abridged.

same goes for yugioh.

Hunter x Hunter is an ongoing series (well....sometimes), thus people are still too excited about the actual manga and anime.

I love Hunter x Hunter and all the characters, and the series itself emotionally impacts me. With a series like that, it's not like I can sit there and scoff at it, and maybe that's why the parody to me was awkward.

I mean, I enjoyed DBZ a lot. I grew up on it. It's the defacto shounen. In fact, DBZ is one of my favorite anime, not gonna lie. But it's not hard to sit there and make fun of some of the tropes. HxH deconstructs these tropes, so when you get a parody of a series that's already deconstructing tropes typically found in a shounen, it gets a little overwhelming for me.

YGO... well, it's easy to make fun of that. Again, another show I actually enjoyed watching, but I did make fun of it a bit, too. Let's settle this with a children's card game! Screw the rules, I have money!

Then again, it depends on the team doing the parody. I wasn't that impressed with these guys.
