I've found some similarities :

Garmr looks like the wolf or guts in armor.
The skull knight powers like Heimdallr's
The stone circles looks to be the bifrost
God hands and apostles looks like Jotunns
Shierke Farnese and Flora looks similar to the norns

The stanza 41 of Voluspa in the Poetic Edda is :
It sates itself on the life-blood
of fated men,
paints red the powers' homes
with crimson gore.
Black become the sun's beams
in the summers that follow,
weathers all treacherous.

Do you still seek to know? And what?

Wich is the beginning of the ragnarok and describe well the event of the fifth eclipse.
And after that :

Brothers will fight
and kill each other,
sisters' children
will defile kinship.
It is harsh in the world,
whoredom rife
—an axe age, a sword age
—shields are riven—
a wind age, a wolf age—
before the world goes headlong.
No man will have
mercy on another.

With Hræsvelgr (Jotunn that takes the form of an eagle/falcon, Griffith) for the wind, and Garmr for the wolf.
