HxH gets my vote here. I do think AOT is a solid series. Definitely has a strong plot going for it, and is very different than many shonen out there. So for that, it has my respect. However, HxH is just so unique in how different every arc is that Togashi writes. It's not just a change of setting, but rather a change in style completely in some cases. Not every arc may hit exactly as high as the CA and Yorknew ones, but the mere fact that Togashi try's to be that creative in how he goes about writing the series is to me very special.

Well, I never read or watched HxH, so I don't know which elements are better or worse. I can only repeat what makes SnK good.

It has some really good characters, Reiner for example is one of the best characters in manga IMO. The story has a lot of twists where you can't foresee everything and the world has it's own depth with unique things like the 3DMG.

*imagine some cool SnK gifs or pictures* (sorry I am not into this kind of thing and I don't think it will change anything in the votes) :P
