I think that if both of them play seriously, it'd be pretty even, but Irie shoud come out on top.

7-5 to Irie. It'll be a fun match seeing how Kimijima would try to make a deal with Irie but Irie trolls him and wins in the end.

Rh, this is hard. If negotiation succeeds, Kimijima will just win. And we knows the negotiation is powerful enough to bring something that is never mention before in the manga (Yukimura not being fully heal), so Kimijima can really just win against anyone, if Konomi want it.

But I'll go for Irie, if you based it only what what we've seen, as it doesn't look like Irie have any particular thing he want right now.

Phantron's story is epic lol.
It's got a frighteningly legit feeling to it though. The HSers in SPoT have just pulled out pure insanity and non-logic things since they first started playing so I've got no idea.

I'm really glad this match was brought up.
First of all, we can clarify that Kimijima remained below 60% of his true ability the entire time he and Tohno beat Kite/Marui.
Kimijima >> Nationals!Marui in terms of volleying. Marui was probably the best MSer or at least Top5 in volleying out of all the players at Nationals.
So in terms of Technique, Kimijima is at the very top level.

The way the No.s work, we can assume there is little difference between Ohmagari and Kimijima.
His level of calmness was frightening when his negotiation failed after Kite aimed at his eye and shows that like Irie, his Mental stat is likely to exceed the 5 barrier.
Examples:
He was able to see how Tohno was above 60%,
he read that Marui was going to take out Tohno's knee, the way he mind-f*cked Marui at the start of the match and tricked him about the volleys,
If you realize Kimijima was calm and was thinking the entire time, he also shows the skill to back up his badge number.

As for Irie, I don't have to explain why his Mental stat is off the charts.
Then there is the issue of his stamina. Nobody in the G10 has been shown to have stamina as poor as 2 like Irie.
I personally think the Camp's machines didn't capture Irie's stamina correctly since he lasted what was mathematically as long as a 3 set-match with Atobe (through tie-break) comfortably. Where Atobe one of the MS StaminaBeasts* fainted.

Kimijima may be able to exploit the apparent stamina problem. It seems Kimijima is perfectly fine and knows how to react once a negotiation has been broken. He shat no brix when Kite aimed at his eye.
Irie's Technique is undoubtably above whatever Techinque he displayed against Atobe. What he did to Akiba shows that Irie is somewhere in G8 level or above.

We need to see more of both characters but Kimijima mustn't be underestimated imo. His abilities have shown he isn't all about Negotiation.
Since there had to have been people in the camp who just didn't care for the Negotiation and he just had to simply defeat.

Irie the Pierrot is a complete actor and entertainer so he could just easily troll the entire time.
Kimijima the Negotiatior is a completely corrupt celebrity so he could just easily bribe the entire time.

I'm guessing Irie can play for so long because he's actually way stronger than Atobe so he can score anytime he wanted to. Thus he expands very little energy while scoring (he can easily score whenever he want), and he also expands very little energy while losing a point since it's all just an act anyway. That is, he is obviously making no serious effort to save the points he lost because he knows he can easily get them back whenever he wanted to. I don't think this will work on Kimijima but Kimijima seems to be too dependent on his negotiation powers. Keep in mind that Atobe did hurt his foot in the tiebreaker and he couldn't use AK again for some reason, so I'm sure Irie could've won that 7-0 immediately if he wanted to.

Not really. When a negotiation broke, he got over it extremely quickly. He was so calm and composed that his skill level suggests he could handle it.

Negotiation to Kimijima might just be what BJK is to Oni. If he were to go all out, he'd probably have something else in store.

Exactly. Excluding Mouri who is clearly the weakest in G10, they've all had something more than they tend to just spam.
Ochi spams Mach, but he then had Mental Pressure.
Tohno spammed his Execution Methods, but he then had the rule that once all are hit you just end up forfeiting in pain.
Oni had 10ao + BJK, then Kishin Mode was hiding in wait.
It seems the rest of No.6 and up have 10ao too, as they gave no shits at the 10ao stage.
It would make a lot of sense for Tanegashima, Kimijima and of course Irie to be hiding something.
