It's from Owlcat the makers of two of the best CRPGs in years. Pathfinder Kingmaker and Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous. So there is good reason to be excited.

I know what you mean. Though I do like 40k a bit. In general I think it's safe to expect the sort of Baldur's Gate style CRPG. In that with Pathfinder they really just took the tabletop game and adapted it to a video game. Both Kingmaker and Wrath of the Righteous were adaptations of Pathfinder modules. With a bit of that Baldur's Gate/Dragon Age stuff mixed in. From a role playing perspective we can probably expect much the same treatment. Rogue Trader is a table top module as well, I believe.

Gameplay wise it seems like they're mixing a bit of X-Com in there with cover systems and all that but we'll find out soon. The beta is June 1st, so I'd imagine we'll have a lot more hard facts on it then as they're pretty open about letting people show that stuff. Or at least they did last time.

People don't seem to be happy about the Playstation Showcase.

There wasnt much of anything interesting to me. Nothing I went out to preorder.

And also a lot of stuff is still coming to PS4, so I probably wont get a PS5 yet.

For some reason, I do not like RPG games. The only ones I liked were Persona 5 and NI No Kuni. That's it. I used to like Final Fantasy when I was a kid, but not anymore.
