The Punk Rock Thread

So I see that there is a metal and hip hop thread on this site but no punk thread, so here it is. Discuss your favorite punk bands, tell why bands are or are not not punk, or anything else you want.

Some of my favorite punk bands are as follows:

Oldies Ramones, the Clash, Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys, Black Flag (mostly before Henry Rollins), Circle Jerks, the Queers, the Decendants, NOFX, and Minor Threat.

Newer ones (and here's where the fun about who is and isn't punk can begin) Green Day, Pennywise, Rise Against, Anti-Flag, the Flatliners, Less Than Jake, Broadway Calls, Blink-182, Sum 41, Authority Zero, Alkaline Trio, the Offspring, Rancid, and Bad Religion.

Many I probably left off but that's the basics. I consider 90s and up newer and 70s and 80s older.

From the oldies I like The Clash and Sex Pistols, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.

From the new ones: Green Day (favorite), The Offspring, Sum 41. I also listen to a bit of Rise Against, Bad Religion, Blink-182, Less Than Jake, Simple Plan (although they're pop punk, but whatever).

And maybe some others I can't think of now. xD

Damn im sl glad i found this thread.

Some of my favorite Punk bands are not in the mainstream punk category the stuff that i listen too is Oi Polloi, The Bloodclots, The Varukers, The Subhumans, Millions Of Dead Cops, Rum Rebellion, Dreadful Children, The Krum Bums, Leftover Crack. and the list goes on.

I like Punck Rock music. The thing is I mostly listen to russian punck rock, but still I really like Offspring, because it's the group of my childhood.
Such type of mysic makes my day. I like to listen to such a music, while walking to university.
