[updated 22nd Nov, p21, 23, 28.] This is my first "long" translation project and I'm quite nervous about it... so if you have any advice or corrections to offer please do so :tem I've split the chapter into two parts because the post was way too long and I was worried it would get cut off; I hope this is okay! Anyway.. thanks for looking!!

Edit: Sorry that it is a bit unclear... normal line breaks indicate a new text box or speech bubble, and a blank line means a new panel on the same page. I only added names when a different person starts talking. Anything in blue are edits and corrections.
Lastly, regarding the spelling "Gauche": The katakana read something like "Gooshu", but I er just took the liberty of making it Gauche, pronounced like the word gauche as it is used in English, which can mean socially awkward. I think it would be pronounced the same way. I also thought it fit with the character here, because he's.. sort of socially awkward around people, especially when he first meet Lag :D (see p14-15). I think I'll use Gauche until there's an official version released.

四方が海でかこまれたアンバーグラウンド国は
階級制に分かれた
三つの区域（エリア）で構成されていた
The country of Amberground, surrounded on all four sides by ocean, is divided into three Areas by a class system
人工太陽が真上に輝く首都「アカツキ」は
特級・上流階級が暮す選ばれし人間たちの都会である
The capital “Akatsuki”, directly above which the manmade sun shines, is the home of the highest class, the Upper Class; the city of certain chosen humans

二つめは中産階級の「ユウサリ」
The second Area is the home of the middle class, Yuusari

そして下等階級の住人が貧しく生きる三つめのエリア「ヨダカ」。。。
Lastly, the third area “Yodaka” is home to the lower class, who live in poverty

三つのエリアは海からつながる川で分断され
The three areas are divided by rivers which flow into the sea

政府発行の通行証（パス）を持つ限られた者だけが橋を渡ることを許されていた
Only those with a government-issued crossing permit are allowed to cross the bridge

Anyway, the Gaichuu tend to attack when they sense people’s “Heart”..

To pierce the hard armour of the Gaichuu, you can’t use a normal gun..
so each one of the Letter Bees carries an anti-Gaichuu weapon
