well alodia is not with the tux team but another one, so there's actually two famous cosplay groups composed of students from the Katipunan/Diliman area (tux team versus alodia's).

to me, it's still better to be good at everything. let's take for example this call center business. you are a good agent, you are ranked no. 1, but you are not good at socializing, at team building, at leadership. you're just good in individual stats. now another agent, probably no. 30 or something, has mediocre stats, but good at socializing, good at leadership and team stuff, so he gets promoted to a supervisor. the former might be appointed a subject matter expert but that's all. the supervisor can become an account manager, the account manager can later on become an operations manager, and then a site director. that's why imo it's much better to be versatile.

then again that's just me, i prefer to be the master of all things

why not just do the pdfs yourself hunt? this is the software i use, free and easy, cutepdf. you have to install ghostscript first but afterwards just use your doc editor to print the docs into pdf
