@rabb- so, what's the food like on the ship?

I don't know if I've made the right decision, but I applied for a credit card yesterday

i have no idea. im still at a training command. NWS, Charleston, South Carolina. the food here isnt bad... it just gets repetitive after the first few months. (and i've got another 11 months of it :cry) thats (one of) the downsides to being a nuke: it takes us almost 2 years to be trained. (17 months for mms like me, 20 for the wire rates)

Yeah I will just have to always tell myself the credit card is only for emergency use.......that is after I use it to buy a PS3.....

i cant get a credit card right now which is bullshit, but oh well. i plan to use my bonus to get my computer.

I'm so jealous. last time i checked, japan price for the PS3 was still about Y50,000-60,000

cant you buy it from the U.S. and ship it their. It's $399 for the 80gb and $299 for the 40gb. Shipping will be expensive though.

im studying to be a nuclear machinist mate; im going to be taking care of the engine, turbines, steam generator, and NUCLEAR REACTOR that drives the ship. they aren't teaching us about nukes. well. except for how they work, how to induce fission, the by-products, the types of fission, the atomic reactions, and when ENS Garza goes on about his trip to Los Vegas, the bomb testing and Manhattan Project itself (they've got some kind of museum there, and since he is an nuclear officer, they treated him like royalty and had the museum director himself give him a tour. never mind he is only a ensign, the lowest of all officers XD)

that being said... i was in charge of swabbing in boot camp >.< but yeah. i spend 2/3 of my day in class, ~ 1.5 hours (combined) for food, and lately, 4-5 hours a night of sleep

dont think of school! never! school sucks! i hate school! im failing physics hard! if i fail the nesxt test, they might kick me out of the oprogram. they already kicked out padg, and we only just staratde school. (fro bad grades that he definatly couldve improved before grad.)

I was looking at my watch and saw that the date on it was wrong... so im guessing that the month on it must have been wrong... I start fastforwarding it to the right date number. Winding it and winding it... While winding it, i see that the months end at 31 for two consecutive times. I look at the clock on my pc and see that there are two consecutive months this year that end in 31. So i continue winding...

Then while winding, the month still ends in 31... WHAT THE FUCK??! All months end in 31???? I keep winding to make sure. And yep, like a broken record. It ends in 31.

At least i got the weekday and date right... Tuesday the 2nd. For guys buying a watch... please ask the saleslady to test it out?
